The Englor Affair – Preview

J.L. Langley’s newest novel and the second book in this Sci Regency series is eagerly anticipated by fans and is available through Samhain Publishing on November 11. My Fair Captain is still my favourite J.L. Langley book and I can’t wait to read The Englor Affair to see whether it will knock MFC off its perch as top dog. JL swears it’s better than MFC (one small correction – she emailed me today to say that she LIKED it better, not that it WAS better *g*). I’ll give you my honest opinion of TEA when I read and review the book.

The author will be our guest on the blog on November 10 to talk about the book, her writing, upcoming releases as well as other far ranging topics. I wonder if she’ll talk about whose story will be next in the series?

In hiding who he was, Payton found himself…and the man he would grow to love.

After his brother is kidnapped, Prince Payton Townsend masquerades as an Admiral’s assistant in order to track the culprits through the tangled mysteries of the planet Englor. He finds way more than he bargained for in the form of Marine Colonel Simon Hollister.

Simon is no ordinary soldier. He’s heir to Englor and his life is mapped out for him: throne, bride, and eventually an heir. He never expected a dalliance with Payton to blossom into love, or that the organization that taught him to lead would threaten that love—and their lives.

Danger and intrigue abound as they learn more about their shared enemy, and about each other. What they learn could help them rise above to an enduring love—or pull them apart.

I live in Canada and I love big dogs, music, movies, reading and sports – especially baseball

Hi Lesley

I think it will be a special book. J.L. is really pleased about this one.

very much looking forward to TEA

The cover is the work of the delightful Anne Cain. Since she did such a terrific job on My Fair Captain I guess JL had no option but to commission her for this one.

*le sigh* we do so love Anne Caine…that cover has to be her work.

Hi Lily
That’s JL’s claim that TEA is better. So we’ll see *g* She’ll have to work very hard to convince this doubter 😀

I loved My Fair Captain too. I’ve read her Ranch and With or Without series and loved those as well but MFC was awesome!! Can’t wait to read the sequel. Specially if JL says it’s better than MFC. Wow 😀

Hi Eve

I think Nate is about to have some competition. I can’t wait for the release of TEA.

I like “My Fair Captain”, that’s my favourite JL Langley book as well (oh Nate..mmm) – so I am definitely getting this one.

Looking forward to your review and the interview too.
