When your heart is stuck in the wrong gear, a quick fix isn’t going to cut it.
When Noah buys a classic ’68 Camaro from a fellow firefighters widow, he hopes it will ease some of the grief crushing his heart. But the grinding noise under the car’s hood sends him straight to a mechanic. Something about the burly, imposing Hoyt sparks Noah’s interest, and it’s not just Hoyt’s ice-blue eyes and bad-boy biker looks. It’s the mutual interest they have—Club LaForge.
After losing his partner to cancer a year ago, Hoyt never thought he’d feel the same kind of rush with another man. But his reaction to Noah throbs deep in his body like the rumble of his Harley.
LaForge seems like the perfect place to meet and work off some sorrow, to feel alive again. But the flood of desire quickly gets hot enough to melt their emotional barriers into unexpected connections.
Connections Hoyt isn’t sure he’s ready for…especially since history has a scary way of repeating itself.
Get your motor running for a Harley-riding hunk of muscle who doesn’t give a damn about the rules of being a Dom, and a firefighter who can take the heat. Buy a case of your favorite coolant. You’re gonna need it.
OK, I need to get you into the right mind frame before you read this book. Stay with me! It’s totally worth it.
1. This is a very short book, coming in just under 80 pages.
2. Because this book is so short, there isn’t much in the way of character development. DO NOT LET THAT DETOUR YOU.
3. Because this book is so short, the “I Love You’s” fly very, very quickly. DO NOT LET THAT DETER YOU.
4. This is the second book in a series revolving around a group of Firefighters who dabble in BDSM at their local BDSM club, Club LaForge. The first book is M/M/F. You do not have to read the first book to understand the second. Author Delilah Devlin does a nice job catching us up. THIS CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE.
OK, now that you are caught up: Firefighters! Motorcycles! Classic cars! BDSM! Hard, chiseled bodies! Emotion! Hurt/comfort! And Firefighters!
Noah Turner is a firefighter at Firehouse 69. He has recently purchased a classic Camaro from the widow of one of his fellow firefighters who died in the line of duty.
The first time he drives the car, it stalls on him so he takes it to a garage and meets owner and mechanic Hoyt Freeman. Hoyt is a hard bodied, gruff man who is instantly attracted to the sexy firefighter. Hoyt is a Dom but has not had a partner since his boyfriend died of cancer over a year ago. Noah is the first person to catch his eye since then. Sensing that Noah has submissive tendencies and is gay (Noah still thinks he is straight) they tentatively agree to meet at Club LaForge.
The men do meet at LaForge and start a whirlwind D/s, romantic relationship. Remember, this is a short book so the boys are on a tight schedule. The sex is smokin’ hot, the emotional connection is powerful and these boys get to their HEA in a matter of weeks. That includes Noah realizing he is gay and coming out to his fellow firefighters and Hoyt finally putting the ghost of his dead boyfriend to rest. For an added bonus, we even get a medical emergency! And these are real firefighters who actually fight fires, so we get some firefighter action too! Win, win, win, etc.
Look past the length of this book, suspend disbelief for an hour and let yourself get carried away by firefighters and kinky BDSM. You’ll be glad you did.
