Boone Daniels seems to have trouble finishing things. Along with the half dozen or so novels he’s started, only to abandon mid-way through, his love life could be best described as a series of drive-by’s.

Boone has spent the past week staying at a ski-lodge in the tiny mountain town of Summit City. He’s been using his time alone to write while waiting for his boyfriend to join him for their anniversary.

What happens to Boone when he winds up dumped on the eve of his one-year anniversary and ends up at a bar having one too many cocktails? Wade Walker.

Follow Boone Daniels as he enjoys his relationship severance package and learns to avoid “The Quad” at all costs

This was my first book by author Ethan Day and I loved the snarky sense of humor infused throughout the book. This is the story of Boone Daniels as he embarks on a vacation with his boyfriend to celebrate their one year anniversary, little does he know but his vacation is really a severance package from his boyfriend and he will be lodging alone.

After realizing he is now single, Boone heads to the local bar and one thing leads to another with him waking up the next morning with a hickey from hell, a sore bottom, and in the house of a man the size of a beast. He runs out of the house and back to the ski lodge and vows to enjoy the rest of his vacation. He isn’t expecting running into the “beast” from the night before when he goes for his first ski lesson, yes the “beast” has a name, Wade Walker.

This book just keeps getting funnier as Boone realizes that not only is Summit City a small town but they worship the ground that his one night stand ski’s on.. yes Wade Walker is a legend in the town, if only Boone could figure out why. Things get stranger as Boone and Wade go on a date and he realizes that the entire town is judging him and deciding whether he is a good fit for Wade. Wade tells him it is just the way small towns are but to make sure he avoids “the Quad”. Their relationship continues to grow, well it grows as well as a one week love affair can grow. Boone and Wade quickly figure out there is a fire between them that they both want to explore. Wade’s identity is finally revealed to Boone and by the time Boone has to leave town, Wade and him have decided they are going to try a long distance sorta relationship. On Boone’s way out of town he finally meets and is kidnapped by all “The Quad”. Can Wade and Boone make it work after their week long love affair? Who is “The Quad” and what do they want with Boone? Ethan Day answers all these questions and more as he wraps up book one of the “Summit City Series”.
