The stakes are rising.

As the god-son closes in leaving more bodies in its wake, treason and betrayal against the Association is unveiled. An inquiry for the Goddesses has been called, threatening everything Leo holds dear.

And the Chimera is not about to let go without a fight.

Despite the dangers lurking in the shadows, Leo wants his doxie Kaleb to think of only one thing. Him. His training. His purpose. And embrace the reality of what he is and not be ashamed of his attraction to Aaron, the doxie tossed aside by Sol.

Attraction is one thing. Bringing the boy to their bed is something else entirely. Kaleb can’t possibly want anyone but Leo. A lie Kaleb will pay dearly for. Penance Leo will be more than happy to deliver.

But penance for a lie will pale in comparison to what Kaleb must do to keep Sol from taking Aaron away, and invoking the Chimera into a lifetime in chains.

I waited for what seemed like an eternity for book 3 in the Bound Gods series, but it was only about a month or so. Leo and Kaleb. THESE TWO ERMAHGERD! I love them so damn bad, but this installment totally threw a curveball. There’s somewhat of a spoiler ahead. If multiple partners aren’t your thing, STOP READING NOW!

We were introduced to Aaron, a doxie, in book 2 of the Bound Gods series. Aaron was owned by Sol, one of the other gods. Unfortunately, Aaron was attacked by a monster hunting doxies, and he was marred in the process causing Sol to discard him like yesterday’s trash. Now, Kaleb? He immediately took a liking to Aaron before the attack. He found him beautiful and intriguing. You’re probably wondering why I’m talking about Aaron instead of Leo and Kaleb, right?

Well, let’s put it this way, Adrienne Wilder states at the beginning of the book, “Not sure how much you’ll hold out because things are about to get ugly.” If that’s not foreshadowing, I don’t know what is. I WAS PISSED! PISSSSSSSED. She threw a surprising coupling into the mix. What was formerly Leo and Kaleb turned into Leo, Kaleb, and Aaron. The couple has now turned into a threesome. Peeps, I was not with the program. I wanted off the ride. When I realized what was happening I was like how could Adrienne do this to me? Me = DESTROYED.

A.W. hooked me with a series that had me stalking her on Twitter for updates only to have the very thing that lured me in, compromised. The relationship between Leo and Kaleb. Have you ever hate-read a book? Like you’re totally enraged by everything transpiring with the characters, but you can’t stop reading? That was totally me with this book. I was halfway through before I finally gave in and a soft spot formed for Aaron.

At this point, I’m interested in finding out who’s responsible for creating the monster and who within the Association betrayed Alton. If you haven’t read this series, I still highly recommend it but just know that in Book 3, things change. The verdict is out as to whether the change was a good decision but I know I hope the final book wraps up this series in an excellent manner. Betrayed was deliciously dirty, and I want more. Recommended if you like pain sluts and yummilicious implements of torture used in such a fascinating way. #teamurethralsounds

My reviews for the other books in the series.

Bound Gods Series

FYI, please don’t read book 3 if you haven’t read the other two installments first. Nothing sucks more than a reader diving into a series they don’t understand. You’d be completely confused and highly disappointed if you dived in without the proper context.
