A double shot of devastating news turns Justin Evanson’s life upside down. When he learns his father has cancer, and he has siblings he never knew existed, he leaves everything behind and moves to Virginia to support his dad as he tries to make amends with his family—a family Justin’s not sure he has a place in. Things go from bad to worse when he discovers his recent hookup is his newfound sister’s brother-in-law.

Drew Sinclair never expected to see Justin after their night at the club or to discover their family connection. If anyone found out, it would give Drew’s brother another reason to hate him. But there’s something about Justin that draws him in, and it’s not only because they burn up the sheets together.

One meeting leads to another, and before Justin realizes it, Drew has become the only thing in his world he feels is his. And for the first time in his life, Drew knows what it means to be needed. Being there for Justin and supporting him when things spiral out of control feels right. But with so much happening so quickly, it’s hard to trust their feelings. Is this thing between them real? Or just a test drive before life forces them down two separate roads?

Test Drive by Riley Hart is everything that I love about reading romance novels. Justin and Drew’s journey to happiness touched my heart.

We have Justin, who has so much on his plate. A dying father, a brother, and sister he didn’t know existed. Plus, putting his life on hold and relocating so that his father may have some closure. One night while trying to blow off some steam he meets Drew. Drew who feels isolated from his family. Both these feel alone and don’t know where they fit with their loved ones. Little did they know that night how their paths would come to cross.

My highlights:

-Drew and Justin. What was there not to love about these guys? Selfless, caring, humorous, and sexy.
-Relationship development. I love the way it was built from this tentative friendship to something casual to this devoted love. Their emotional connection is one that romance readers will fall in love with. Perfection!
-The secondary cast of characters. They complimented and enhanced the plot.
-The pace is smooth and flows nicely.
-The chemistry between Justin and Drew is piping hot! Steam is sizzling is this one, guys!
-The narration is told from a dual POV. Always a plus in my eyes.
-And the end- a happy ending with a teensy teaser of who’s coming next! 😉

As far as any negatives- I got nothing. I loved everything about this book from beginning to end.

As far as this being book 3- can it be read alone? Technically yes. The other stories are great, though, and you’ll find these characters in all the books so I wouldn’t skip any.

All in all, this is a winner! This a beautiful story about loss, family, healing, and above all else love. I highly recommend it and think y’all should go 1-click yourself over to Amazon! I guarantee you won’t regret it. 5+ Stars!
