After a decade of serving in the Army, everyone still expects me to be Dominic ‘Nicky’ Costigan–the skirt-chasing player. They don’t know I’ve been spending my days trying to figure out my post-military life. Including how to pick up guys.

When I meet Luke on a hookup app, he makes it clear it’s for one-night only. That’s fine with me, because I’m down to see what this silver fox can do. But after I arrive at his doorstep, it doesn’t take long to realize we have serious chemistry, and we end up meeting again.

He’s got more walls around his heart than a military base, but I think he’s as addicted to me as I am to him. He can’t resist me for long. I mean, who can? Except Luke’s rules exist for a reason, and when I test his limits, things get complicated. Maybe too complicated.

*FAST CONNECTION is a standalone, full-length romance novel with no cliffhanger*

Fast Connection by Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell was:

fantastic

From the get go, I was laughing. Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell are writing’s Dynamic Duo! They will make you laugh, make your heart ache, melt your heart, set your undies on fire, and by the end, you will have the warm fuzzies. Their stories are like chicken soup for the soul.

In this second installment Dominic Costigan whom we met in book one gets his HEA. Dominic is so much more than who we met in the first book. Here we get a look at what makes him tick- and believe me, when I say: YOU WILL LOVE HIM. Through Grindr, he meets a sexy silver fox named Luke. Luke is pushing 40 divorced father of two. He’s not interested in anything serious and never does repeat hookups until Dominic.

Right off the bat I’ll tell you- there aren’t negatives for me to point out. It’s perfect.

My highlights:

-Dominic and Luke. Loved them. I could relate to them, and I wanted them to be happy. Smartass who loves to cuddle meets a stoic harda$$.
-The plot. It’s real. These characters experience problems that most of us can relate to: financial strife, family, fear of our future, fear of rejection. Then throw in humor and romance and all these elements together created a stellar book.
    -Steam. Duuuude!
-The book is narrated from a dual POV.—->My favorite.
-The pace is smooth and flows quickly. I read it in one sitting. Unputdownable.
-Their Grindr messages. They were so much fun and had me smiling like a loon.
-Their chemistry. It was so much more than physical. I swear my heart just felt full while they were getting to know each other.
-I loved catching up with Garrett and Kai (from Strong Signal). 😀
-The end. As silly as it may sound I get a lot of joy when my characters get their HEA. Corny as it may be- it gives me hope.

Can this be read as a standalone? Totally, but don’t. Do yourself a favor and read Strong Signal.

I can’t recommend this enough, guys. If you want a book that will leave you feeling joy- DO NOT HESITATE TO READ THIS. 5 Stars!

Author

I’m a thirty-something Colombian mother of two. My favorite pastime is to get lost in a book. I’m more of a fluffy romance reader- though I do love an angsty read. I don’t often read Mystery/Suspense nor dark stories. I also NEVER knowingly read stories that don’t end in an HEA or at least HFN. I LOATHE cliffhangers with a passion and not a huge fan of stories with cheating, but it’s not a deal breaker.

My favorite tropes are:
-Best friends to lovers
-May/December
-Hurt/comfort/healing
-Opposites attract
-Humor (as long as it’s not slapstick type comedy)

My favorites authors are:
-Lane Hayes
-Santino Hassell
-Kade Boehme
-TJ Klune
-Heidi Cullinan
-NR Walker
-Eli Easton
-Amy Lane
-Keira Andrews
-Nick Pageant
-Annabeth Albert
-Jay Northcote
-Riley Hart/Nyrae Dawn
-Melanie Hansen

Some of my all time favorites stories are:

-The Five Boroughs Series by Santino Hassell
-Carry the Ocean by Heidi Cullinan
-BOATK Series by TJ Klune (anything he writes actually)
-Let’s Hear It For The Boy by TA Webb
-A Kind of Truth by Lane Hayes
-Strong Signal by Santino Hassell & Megan Erickson
-Superhero by Eli Easton
