When the two moons of Thalazar cross orbits, the Warrior Pledge must be completed or the cat-shifting Mafdeti nation will face annihilation. There are four who can save the people and their land: the Silver Shining from Rock, the Great Heart Farseeing, the Changeling, and the Pure. They must find each other before time runs out.

Silver-eyed Checa is Captain of the Guard for the Mafdeti. Thanks to the friendship and loyalty of Heath, son of the Mafdeti Matriarch, Checa has survived and thrived after a childhood of horrific abuse. He knows Heath is his Bond-Mate but refuses to bond with the younger man because he feels he isn’t worthy. Nor does Heath’s mother approve of her son bonding with a lowborn warrior.

Together they face deadly wing-strikes from carnivorous birds, earthquake, betrayal, ambush, and an enemy invasion, only to be confronted with the possibility that the Warrior Pledge will bond Checa and Heath to others. If Checa is to complete the Warrior Pledge, he must overcome the belief that he doesn’t deserve Heath’s love, and fight for the one man who can make him whole.

The Warrior Pledge turned out to be so much more of a book then I thought it would be by the description. The description of this book was good but honestly it did not do this book any justice. I had mixed emotions about if I would like it or not but it turns out I needn’t worry because this book was so full of action, adventure, love, friendship, betrayal, mystery, and just about every other adjective you can think of to describe a book.

Even though there was so many characters in this book and even though the Warriors pledge revolves around four people the two that made the most impact on me was Checa and Heath.

These two men are so perfect for each other that I found myself falling in love with them.

Checa is one of those men that does not find himself worthy of a person as good as Heath. Checa has Heath on a pedestal that it is a wonder he did not fall flat on his face at some point. But at the same time the type of person Heath is, he deserves to be on that pedestal. Checa finds himself unworthy of completing his bond with Heath because he cannot let go of the past and the things that happened to him but what he does not understand is Heath knows and he loves him regardless of his past.

These two men along with Rim and Ardelle have a huge responsibility to their people to complete the Warrior Pledge that is written in the stars for them to accomplish and complete. It is not an easy task and at each turn they are all in more danger then they have ever been before. Even though it seems impossible at times they all keep pushing onward through all the dangers and through the betrayal of some of their men. This task is something they cannot fell at, it is their destiny and they have to whatever it takes to fulfill it or their futures may be no more.

This book was truly an exciting read. There was never a dull moment and I found myself questioning what I thought would be the ending over and over again. This is the first book I have read by E. E. Montgomery but I will definitely be reading more very soon. This book is definitely on my recommended list.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
