Caleb Stone was raised on the Upper East Side, where wealth and lineage reigns, and “alternative lifestyles” are hidden. It took him years to come out to his family, but he’s still stuck in the stranglehold of their expectations. Caleb knows he has to build his confidence and shake things up, but he doesn’t know how… until Oliver Buckley enters the picture.
Oli is everything Caleb isn’t—risk-taking, provocative, and fiercely independent. Disowned by his family, Oli has made his own way in the world and is beholden to no one. After a chance encounter on New Year’s Eve, Caleb is smitten.
As Caleb sheds the insecurities that have held him back for years, he makes bold steps toward changing his career and escaping years of sexual repression. But for Caleb to take full control of his life, he has to be brave enough to confront his feelings and trust Oli with his heart.
Oh ho! Remember Caleb from Sunset Park? Remember how he got dumped for essentially being frigid and disinterested in sex with David? Well then… What about this?
“Play with my ass,” I whispered. “Shove your fingers into me and rub my prostate until I can’t see or talk straight.” A husky laugh reverberated in my ear. “There’s that slut I got to know on New Year’s Eve.”
YES! Thank you Santino Hassell for giving us Caleb and Oli’s story. I absolutely loved Caleb’s transformation. Sometimes people are just waiting to be inspired and then they come out of their shell and the world is blinded by them. This is Caleb. He is not a young thing but he deserved to find this and Oli was the perfect partner to bring it out in him. The sex scenes are some of the hottest Santino has written but there was nothing gratuitous about them. I love that Caleb’s sexual awakening came in this form –not about him discovering his sexual orientation or being a virgin, but embracing his kink through an emotional connection and accepting that he could and should expect this for himself.
Fan –fucking –tastic writing throughout, amazing character development, and of course the narration. Michael Ferraiuolo has mastered bringing these characters to life. His voices –because he has a tremendous talent at making each character different – were spot on in all aspects –the sex voices, the angry voices, the emotional, whisper-thin voice of heart-break.
