Trimming the tree is more fun with three.
Twin Cities developer Dale Davidson has come to Logan, Minnesota, to turn it into Christmas Town, not to give in to Arthur Anderson’s offer to join him and his fiancé, Gabriel Higgins, for a Christmas Eve threesome. Dale is polyamorous, but it’s clear Arthur is offering a night of fun and nothing more. Maybe one night with the couple he admires so much won’t hurt…
Together the three of them light a fire hot enough to boil Lake Superior in January, and one night of fun becomes an extended engagement as Dale puts down some tentative roots in his new hometown. Everyone loves Dale, Logan’s own Santa Claus, and somehow no one knows what wild times are happening right underneath their noses. No one knows, either, the complicated ways they’re falling in love with one another.
But a shadow from Dale’s past emerges, an abuser threatening him with violence and shame. Ronny doesn’t want a happy ever after for Dale, only to draw him back into a consuming darkness. It will take the love of not only Gabriel and Arthur but all of Logan to convince their Santa he has nothing to be ashamed of—and that he will always have a home in their hearts.
This book was not what I was expecting it to be but in some ways it was so much more. The old saying is there is someone out there for everyone, but that is not always the case and I am a firm believer in that. Sometimes there is more then one person out there for someone and that person may not always be lucky enough to have both of those someone’s that was made for them but in some instances they are!!!
At first when I started reading this book I knew what a truple or threesome relationship was. It I will be honest and say that I had no clue that polyamory relationship was and I have to say that because of his book I have a firm grasp on what it is now.
Gabriel and Author was already in a relationship and engaged to be married when the couple met Dale. What started out as a simple attraction and the offer of a fun filled night together with the three of them quickly turned into something else all together. At first this was a major problem because Gabriel, for one, had no idea what a polyamory relationship was and he had even less of an idea that he himself was poly.
The thing is Gabriel and Author already had a unique relationship before Dale made his entrance because Author is part of a leather club and a Dom to boot. And even though Author and Gabriel did the Dom/sub relationship when it came to sex, Author still had Gabriel’s permission to perform with others in the Dom/Sub role at the leather club without Gabriel being a part of it. So when Author realizes that Gabriel is poly, Author accepts this about him and pushes Gabriel to seek out the relationship with Dale.
The one thing Author did not know would happen and was a happy surprise was Dale wanted Author as his Dom also. So blooms a unique relationship where Gabriel is in a relationship with both Dale and Author and Author gets to fulfill his desires as a Dom with both Gabriel and Dale. What makes it unique to me is Dale and Author love each other but not in a In love type of love but that is Gabriel feels for both Dale and Author. Dale and Author are both happy with this just as Gabriel is too.
Right when everything seems to be as close to perfect as they can get for these three men, the rug is pulled out from under them. If they do not pull together with each other and their friends and family then everything that they have built may just break apart.
This book was such a good read. It was hard to read about Dale struggling to over come the abuse he endured at the hands of another man but it was also amazing to watch him realize just how strong he truly is. I loved being able to read about these three men’s diverse relationship and to see them overcome their fears of not being accepted. I was also amazed with all these men because in a situation like this it could have been easy to let jealousy come between them and instead of doing so they band together and worked through their issues instead of letting it tear them all apart.
Was such a good read and I look forward to reading more in this series as hey come out!!!!!
