The boys are back and fiercer than ever!

“We were a unit tonight, moving as one. Even apart, we are deadly, but when combined – we are f**kin’ unstoppable.” ~~ God ~~

Atlanta’s notorious narcotics task force is at it again. They are stronger, bigger, and better than ever. Especially when a city councilman sends RECON Marine, Edwin Steele – who’s been blacklisted from his Oakland department – to join the team. God and Day weren’t recruiting. They have a lot on their plates, like the fact they’re supposed to be getting married soon. They don’t have the time or the patience to integrate a decorated war hero with a slight chip on his shoulder into their well-oiled machine.

A hothead that’s uncontrollable and terrible with authority… but wasn’t that their team motto?

Steele was ready to hang up his shield. He was done fighting with bigoted bastards that couldn’t respect the job. He was good at fighting; he just needed the right team to fight with. When his uncle – City Councilman, Rasmus Steele – shows him a video of God’s team in action, he knows right away, it’s where his nephew belongs in order to restore his faith.

Steele pointed to the driver, a behemoth of a man wielding those massive firearms like a true beast… like a soldier. “And him. Who the hell is he?”

“That’s your new boss. Lieutenant Cashel Godfrey… they call him… God.”

Steele was skeptical about his new placement, but when he meets God’s technology specialist/computer genius, “Tech,” he’s willing to give it his all, and he definitely shows and proves.

Tech is stunning. His sweater vest and khakis, a stark contrast to the blue-jeaned roughnecks he works with. A beautiful sheep amongst the wolves. Steel thinks there’s no way the brilliant man would be interested in a hardhead like him, but Tech has a few badass hidden talents of his own and manages to fool him… fool all of them.

This story is a part of a series but can stand alone. It does not end on a cliffhanger and has a HEA. There are no multiple pairings in this novel.

I read this book in one setting. I am in love with this series and these men. A.E Via has a special way of making these men so likable and making it so easy for the reader to fall in love with each and every one of them.

This book focused primarily of Tech and Steele. Though it did have some views of other characters in this series as well it was more focused on these two men.

Tech is the nerdy type of guy who is extremely good with computers. He is able to find the info the other detectives on their team needs along with being able to access cameras wherever the team is and anything pertinent to help his team along. He is good at his job and he knows it along with the rest of the team. But the rest of the team does not know hat he really wants to be in the field with them. He has been training for a while now but has not gotten up enough nerve to bring the subject up with Day, God, or Syn yet.

When a new team member joins their group Tech does what he does best and digs into his background to gather as much info as possible on him. And when Steele walks in after just retrieving the info Tech is in awe with him. And from the way that Steele is acting he is awe of Tech just as much as Tech is awe with him. When Tech proceeds to enlighten the rest of the team and Steele on the information that he was able to gather on Steele, to say that Tech took things too far in what he tells enjoy is an understatement. Needless to say Steel e reacted badly and both men started off completely on the wrong foot.

After some apologies on by their parts things slowly started to change between them and the closer got the easier and quicker it was for hem to fall for one another. Before either realized it they was both completely head over heals for each other.

This read was full of excitement all the way from the deceive business all the way down to the hot sex between all the men in this book. I cannot wait till the next book is out. I truly believe that this team has a person that is supposed to be a good guy and on their side that is really not so good and is going to start some major trouble. Vasquez has definitely got some major resentment issues with this team and his jealousy is very evident in the way that he acts. I do believe we will seeing more of him in future books and I think it will be with a huge bang. Cannot wait to see how it plays out.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
