Can Logan and Clay work together to rebuild their happiness? Can they find their way back to the shared passion of Dominance and submission? Or will their love and relationship end before it’s truly begun?
I truly love this seris. I have read every book so far and they just keep getting better and better. So when I seen there was going to be this book added to the series I was so excited. I could not wait to read it. I am so glad that I did because this book, much like the other book in this series, was beyond incredible.
These men and woman on the Houston Swat do not know what is coming their way in this book but it will change the course of all of their lives.
When Logan is called into the Captain’s office only to be told that th captain was planning on splitting their team up, Logan was blown away. He could not believe that the team he has worked so hard with was being ton apart and heir was nothing he could do except accept it. It was not easy having to tell not only his team but his fellow teammate, lover, and submissive that not only was Logan being reassigned to Narcotics but that other team members was being reassigned to different units also.
Logan did his best to reassure the team, which is now his family, that they can and will follow the changes that has been thrust upon them and do their best to deal with the changes that are about to take affect.
Logan’s lover, sub, and teammate Clay feels that it is his fault for this. Clay is one of those people that takes on whatever happens as his own doing. He is the type of person that over thinks things and believes that if he had done something differently then they would have never happened immediately in the first place. Logan has tried to make Clay realize that things happen and they are not always necessarily directed towards what someone has done. But Clay has a hard time accepting that. So I think that is why when something bad happens to Clay, he shuts down and he tries to avoid the issue at hand and in turn ends up avoiding and closing Logan out at the same time.
Clay has to figure out a way to deal with what happened and Logan has to figure out the best way to go about helping Clay through it whether Clay likes it or not. It is not an easy road and there is definitely a lot of bumps along the way. But the way they end up handling it all will determine whether they make it to the other side either together or both on opposite sides of the street.
As I said this is a beyond incredible read. Like the other books there is situations that the team finds themselves in and they have to have each other’s backs to come out on too. Logan and Clays relationship is truly an amazing relationship that makes you smile when you think of the two of them together. I truly look forward to the next book if there is going to be one because I love these people in this series.
