Mob enforcer Ceaton Mercer has killed a lot of people in a lot of different ways – he stashed the last two bodies in a toolshed belonging to a sweetheart marine researcher in an idyllic island community – but he’s really not such a bad guy. Over time he’s found a home of sorts, and he even learns he’s found a place in the hearts of the people he works with…at least enough so that they won’t put a bullet in his head because he’s outlived his usefulness to the boss.

But he never thought he’d find one day could change his life, and he’s about to discover how wrong he is.

Because in a single day, he meets the man who looks to be the one, the love of his life. It’s an improbable idea – a man who deals in death finding love – but it’s like it’s meant to be. That single day gets weirder and troubles pile up, forcing Ceaton to take a hard look at his dreary life and accept that one day can change everything, especially himself. His future might be brighter than he expects – if he can stay alive long enough to find out.

I swear Mary Calmes knows exactly how to take a book and make it so exciting to read that the reader just cannot put the book down. This book is definitely one of those books.

I do not want to ruin this book in the least for anyone so I am not really going to talk about what this book is about but why I will comment on is that this is one of those books that captures your attention from the beginning and it keeps your attention allthw way to the end. It is one of those books that takes twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering who is going to turn out to be a good guy and whom is going to turn on whom.

The main character of this book is a man named Ceaton Merced. What everyone needs to know about this man is he is loyal to a fault. If he is your friend, family, or even someone he is protecting then he will do so even if it will cost him his life. He is not the type of person to back down on his beliefs and he is not they type of person to let anyone else influence him and his beliefs. He is a romantic at heart even though he does not have anyone in his life t the moment. He treats people with respect because that is just who he is. He would rather try to work things out instead of there being a loss of life.He is also very smart. Ceaton is one of those people that is not arrogant and does not tealize the affect that he has on people and the loyalty that others feel for him. He is in my opinion an all around good guy even though he does not realize that about himself.

This book was so incredible. It is an exciting read that leaves you wanting to hurry up and read that page so you can read the next one to see what is going to happen next.

Mary Calmes did another amazing job and I highly recommend this read to others. It will not leave you disappointed that is for sure.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
