A mysterious distress call draws the crew of courier ship Hermes to what appears to be an empty, drifting troop vessel–empty except for the blood and gore spattered corridors and a lone survivor locked in a holding cell. Drawn to the handsome, traumatized man, the crew’s comm officer, Isaac Ozawa, makes Turk his personal responsibility, offering him the kindness and warmth he needs after the horror he experienced.

Isaac knows firsthand what it’s like to be different and an outcast, and this cements their bond. Once a promising pilot, Isaac was left with a damaged body when his brain didn’t meld with the high-tech implant needed to fly fighter ships. Turk’s brain is no better. The result of a military experiment gone wrong, his natural abilities have been augmented to a dangerous degree.

When an amoral, power-hungry admiral kidnaps Isaac and uses him to convince Turk to become the cataclysmic weapon he’s hungered for, it will take Turk’s strength, the ingenuity of the Hermes crew, the help of the enigmatic Drak’tar, and Isaac’s own stubborn will to save them.

As much as I adore Science Fiction in television (Star Trek! SG1!) and films (Star Wars! Star Trek!) I’m not a huge fan of SciFi M/M romance. I’ve only read a handful and other than the F.I.S.T.S. series, they haven’t done a whole lot for me.

While I was expecting an outer-space adventure, this was really two books in one. It was part space adventure, similar to Turbulence and part alien exploration, similar to Claimings, Tails, and Other Alien Artifacts. I loved the combo and thought it was well put together.

I absolutely adored our hero Turk. He was so enjoyable to read and just oozed romance and passion. His fresh take on sexuality being about love and the pleasure of your mate was incredible. I liked hero Issac too, but Turk is an absolute dreamboat and stole the whole show.

“Damn… just, damn.” Isaac twitched hard when Turk gave one last lick at his cock. “I’ll never accept another blowjob again.”

Turk slid up to lie beside him, one hand caressing his stomach. “Oh?”

“Nothing will ever compare.” He lifted a shaking hand to cup Turk’s face. “But you didn’t get anything out of it.”

Turk’s eyebrows crept up. “Your joy is more than something.” He leaned in to nuzzle at Isaac’s jaw. “And I’ve only begun.”

“Was hoping you’d say that.”

“You make my blood sing.” Turk wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled Isaac on top of him. “Your smile takes the strength from my legs. Your laugh wraps heated plumes about my heart.”

See???

Isaac chuckled. “You’ve thanked me for saving you, yes. Most beautiful thank you I ever got.”

“Not merely for saving me. For finding me, for not giving up.” Turk eased the ship out at the head of their fighter formation. “The universe is circular, I think.”

“Could be.”

“So many things are forced into circular shapes by gravitational attraction. The universe must be as well. So must all things, in the end. Infinitely circular.”

SciFi M/M romance fans, this one is for you. M/M romance fans, if you haven’t read any SciFi and would like to give it a try, I can highly recommended this one for it’s excitement and incredible romance.

I love a man in uniform! Cops, Firefighters, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, they are my favorite! I also love some angst in a good story and friends-to-lovers. M/M erotica alone doesn’t do it for me. It’s gotta have a story and some conflict. BDSM when I’m in that mood and threesomes with 3 men or 2 men and 1 woman, again when the mood strikes. Hetero? Sure, if it’s really good. HEA ONLY!
