Blurb:

He’s nobody’s definition of Mr. Right—but that might make him perfect.

Matthew Hart is heir to the family fortune and owner of Hart & Home. When a near-death experience has him fretting over the future, he decides he needs a husband, and not just any husband—an appropriate man to protect the Hart legacy. The last thing Matthew expects is to cross paths with Jax Foster, his first love and the boy who crushed his heart when he disappeared.

Jax is unlikely to make Matthew’s list of suitable candidates. Bad boy, vagabond, deep in debt, with a father who can’t keep out of trouble, Jax has nothing to offer—except his heart and a second chance at the romance they never got to explore.

Second Chance romance with a little bit of everything.

There’s some dirty talk and sexy, hot encounters. There’s a bit of intrigue and suspense. There’s some mystery surrounding attempted murder, a kidnapping, and all kinds of meddling family and friends, all of which results in some action.

Finding Mr. Wrong is from both Matthew and Jax’s points of view, which does give the reader a better understanding of how sorry Jax is for the circumstances surrounding his original abandonment of Matthew and why he’s stayed away for so long.

Why am I not rating this higher? Because I had a personal issue with the part of the storyline where Jax enables his father constantly that definitely colored my own enjoyment.

Spoiler
Jax’s father is a hardcore gambling addict. His addiction has led to Jax being kidnapped and held hostage, to them losing their homes over the years multiple times, to Jax almost losing his business, and being tens of thousands of dollars in debt. This – Gambling Addiction – is a triggering subject for me and therefore really impacted how much I enjoyed the story.

Obviously your mileage may vary.

However, the writing is solid, the romance and mystery are good, and though there is a bit of misunderstanding and some mistakes resulting from a combination of a lack of trust and outside interference, everything clears up in the end, including the mystery (with a surprise confession!) and a HFN.

Author

I am an unapologetic book addict/lover. I’m happiest when reading and I spend most of my time with my Kindle, which is never far from my hand.
I love to be told a good story! I mostly read fiction: Romance, Erotica, Young Adult, New Adult, Paranormal (shifters? Yes, please!), a little BDSM when I’m in the mood, and I love a good ménage story. I DEFINITELY PREFER A HFN/HEA!

My biggest no-no’s are cheating, miscommunication / misunderstanding plots, unnecessary angst, and cliffhangers.
