Reader’s Choice Favorite Authors for 2017

The Gay Book Review Reader’s Choice votes are in and your top favorite M/M author results are posted!

Congratulations to Tal Bauer for being our FAVORITE M/M author for 2017! Coming in a close second and third are Santino Hassell and T.J. Klune.

Honorable Mention

An honorable, posthumous mention goes to Sandrine Gasq-Dion, a wonderful writer and friend to many in the M/M romance community. She will be sorely missed.

The top 10 authors are posted below, in order as voted by Gay Book Review Readers.

Happy 2018 to us all, filled with more GREAT M/M books by our favorite authors!

Sandrine Gasq-Dion

To those offended that Sandrine Gasq-Dion did not “win” please understand that this is a fun way for Gay Book Review readers to have their say in their favorites for the year. There are no awards, just lists of books and authors. I thought the best way to honor Sandrine Gasq-Dion posthumously was to have a large banner created for her along with a link to her complete library. I will leave the poll results as-is but there was some discrepancy in the poll results as far as IP addresses go. I will leave it at that and thank all readers for their participation in our year-end lists.

I love a man in uniform! Cops, Firefighters, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, they are my favorite! I also love some angst in a good story and friends-to-lovers. M/M erotica alone doesn’t do it for me. It’s gotta have a story and some conflict. BDSM when I’m in that mood and threesomes with 3 men or 2 men and 1 woman, again when the mood strikes. Hetero? Sure, if it’s really good. HEA ONLY!

  • I absolutely disagree with the decision not to give Sandrine first place when she clearly won by a landslide. It meant a lot to her readers that she receive this honor, which is why she received HUNDREDS of votes. If it didn’t matter to her readers, they would not have taken the time to vote!

  • I think it’s an absolute foul that you didn’t give Sandrine her due. She had the most votes than anyone else. It was “nice” to give her an honorable mention but she won as far as I’m concerned. FOUL!!!

  • As you said “this is a fun way for Gay Book Review readers to have their say in their favorites for the year” is such bull. Clearly the fans have spoken and the winner did not win. Keep your poll and your awards cause they’re worthless as it seams so is your site.

  • I was shocked to see that Sandrine Dion Gasq was NOT awarded as the winner for Author as well as her book Falcon’s Fox. She had way more votes than the authors you awarded. I’m screaming FOUL!
