Despite multiple degrees and business success, in his heart Jeremy Strauss feels he’s never measured up. While he hasn’t lacked for men or women to share his bed, Jeremy has yet to find someone who sees beyond his muscles and perfect smile. Taking it slow with a lover isn’t how he operates, but something about the shy accountant he rescues in a snowstorm makes him want this time to be different. So what if Blake drops little comments here and there about Jeremy’s pretty face? Their relationship is perfect.

Or is it?

Lonely most of his life, Blake Myers is as careful with his heart as he is with a balance sheet. The last thing he expects is for a man like Jeremy to fall for him, and he can’t help but wait for the bubble to burst on their relationship. When the stress of a professional crisis turns personal, Blake sees the perfect relationship he and Jeremy have built start to crumble. Caught in an ever-tightening web of lies, rather than wait for Jeremy to leave him, Blake breaks it off and vanishes.

Perfection is an illusion.

Jeremy doesn’t know which way to turn and for the first time in his life, he’s lost and uncertain. Believing he’s no longer the man Jeremy needs, Blake sinks deeper into despair. Both men struggle with secrets, lies, and hurtful memories until they are forced to look inside their hearts and learn the truth—that love is perfectly imperfect.

Perfect is a read about learning that because someone or something seems perfect to you, that is just not how things truly are. They may be perfect for you but there is no such thing as perfect. Everyone and everything has imperfections and has things that they struggle with. So to put the perfect label on something is only to set yourself up for failure and destroy whatever you are trying to build.

This is something that Blake had to learn the hard way. Blake views himself as bland and normal. But when he meets Jeremy, he sees a sexy guy that owns his own gun. Blake does not truly see past the exterior to the interior but Jeremy is not going to let the only man that he has ever had feelings for put him into the “looks only and no brains” department. Jeremy is a very smart man and he is tired of being treated as if he is not because he takes care of himself.

When bad things start to happen in Blake’s life he decides that he is not good enough for Jeremy and starts to push him away. Though Jeremy knows that something is going on with Blake, he cannot figure it out. Unexpectedly Blake does the unthinkable and ends things with Jermey and breaks both of their hearts in the process.

Can Jeremy figure out what it is that Blake was hiding from him and make Blake see that as long as they have one another then they can get through anything? Or is it as hopeless as it feels?

This was a good read. I will be honest in the fact that I was sort of confused when Noah kept coming up in this book and Jeremy was so concerned about him being alone. Especially since I had previously read and reviewed One Call Away. But as it got closer to the end I realized that One Call Away takes place before and during this book. So that may be a suggestion as to put in the beginning of this book so that others are not confused also. Other than that this was a great read and I look forward to more by Felice in the future.

Galley copy of Perfect (Soulmates #4) provided by Felice Stevens in exchange of an honest review.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
