Today we are at Gay Book Reviews discussing holiday traditions and we welcome you to join in! Be sure to check out the giveaway at the end of the post. One reader will receive an e-copy of C.S. Poe’s 2017 holiday short story, New Game, Start.

C.S. Poe – I’m a repeat-movie-watcher around the holidays, specifically Die Hard and A Christmas Story. On Christmas Day I love to make coffee, a more labor intensive breakfast than what I typically have time for, and proceed to watch A Christmas Story all day. It’s best done in a dim room with the tree lights on to give it that homey, holiday vibe!

Felice Stevens – Latkes are best eaten fresh from the pan, sizzling and hot. But that means you’re stuck in the kitchen so after they are done, pop them in a warmed oven to keep.
My daughter always comes up for the “test latkes.” My husband works late and so on the first night of Chanukah she will come over and we make them together. She proceeds to eat half the batch, claiming she needs to test them to make sure they are safe for human consumption. In truth of course she just wants first crack at them out of the pan.

SC Wynne – My sisters and I have a holiday tradition where we have dinner every year around Christmas time at our favorite French restaurant. We splurge on good wine, calorie rich meals, and we laugh a lot. Sometimes there might even be a little singing involved, if we drink enough wine.

Then Eugene Montgomery walks into Turtle R&R, claiming to have found a clutch of eggs in distress. Nor is smitten with the tourist at first sight, and at the suggestion of his screwball colleagues, indulges in some no-strings-attached fun. Nor and Eugene are quick to get along, happily enjoy each other’s company, and take in the island’s unique holiday pleasures together.

But Nor would never leave his turtles, not for any man. So when his rebound fling turns into strong romantic feelings for Eugene, it’ll take a Christmas miracle to keep the two together forever in Key West.

Tyler Sly was born unable to conceive, and when you’re an omega, that’s a problem. When his brother convinces him to join him on a singles tour of the wine country, Tyler grudgingly agrees. But when he gets there, his brother is a no-show.

Ronan Blade is just freshly divorced from his wife of two years, and he’s trying to get back into the dating scene. When he meets Tyler, something clicks inside for him. He’s drawn to the quiet omega and begins to spend all his time with Tyler.

Tyler is equally drawn to Ronan, and soon the two men are inseparable. Once the tour ends, the men decide to keep in contact. By now, Ronan is realizing his feelings toward Tyler are not simply those of a friend.

When Ronan comes clean to Tyler about his true feelings, the two men give in to their physical need. But Tyler doesn’t trust that an alpha who’s only been with women his whole life can suddenly love a man.

It’s no wonder then, that when Ronan’s ex-wife shows up, her appearance sends Tyler into a tail spin of fear and doubt.

About Felice Stevens

I have always been a romantic at heart. I believe that while life is tough, there is always a happy ending just around the corner. I started reading traditional historical romances when I was a teenager, then life and law school got in the way. It wasn’t until I picked up a copy of Beatrice Small and became swept away to Queen Elizabeth’s court that my interest in romance novels became renewed.

But somewhere along the way, my tastes shifted. While I still enjoys a juicy Historical romance, I began experimenting with newer, more cutting edge genres and discovered the world of Male/Male romance. Once I picked up her first, I became so enamored of the authors, the character-driven stories and the overwhelming emotion of the books, I knew I wanted to write my own.

I live in New York City with my husband and two children and hopefully soon a cat of my own. My day begins with a lot of caffeine and ends with a glass or two of red wine. I practice law but daydream of a time when I can sit by a beach somewhere and write beautiful stories of men falling in love. Although there is bound to be angst along the way, a Happily Ever After is always guaranteed.
