Spencer Cohen is the guy who gets answers to relationship questions. Playing the role of the new lover, his job is to make his client’s ex realise one of two things: he doesn’t want to break up or he really does. Either way, his client gets answers.

The ex would either apologize and beg, or turn and walk. But in the end, Spencer’s client won. If he wanted his ex back and got him, it was great. If the guy walked away, then as hard it was for the client, he knew it was over. Regardless of the outcome, Spencer’s work was done.

Andrew Landon’s ex left him without so much as an explanation. But his sister can’t stand to see him miserable, so, much to Andrew’s dismay, they hire Spencer to be Andrew’s new boyfriend to get the ex back.

For Spencer, it is never personal. Merely a business transaction. No emotions, no strings, no complications.

Yeah right.

Even a blind man could see how this would end.

5 Excellent — Lumber Sexual Stars!! I loved Spencer Cohen!!

This book is brilliant! I think we have all been there, right…been broken up with only to wish there was a way to get them back! Enter Spencer Cohen, he is the man who will make your ex step up and either reclaim you or allow you to walk away with dignity! I love the entire plot of this book then add in excellent characters, perfect supporting characters and a great setting – perfection!!

Our two MC are Spencer and Andrew. Spencer, he is the perfect representation of lumber-sexual with a side of trendy. As Andrew tells him, he is straight from the pages of Trendy L.A. whereas Andrew he is more of the smart preppy looking guy who fits on the cover of Sexy Nerd and these two are simply perfect together. However, Andrew has come to Spencer to retain his services in getting his fiancé, Eli, back.

Immediately Spencer feels drawn to Andrew, he is the perfect guy for him. He is doing things with Andrew he has never done with any other clients such as taking him to his house – which Andrew fits in perfectly! He is drawn to Andrew. He wants Andrew. He has a job to do however and he really tries to fight his feelings, he tries to keep it professional with a goal of getting Andrew what he wants. But does Andrew still want Eli or has Andrew set his sites on Spencer? During a planned night out where Andrew and Spencer were to just “happen” to run into Eli, Spencer and Andrew share their first kiss…oh what a kiss it is. It’s at that moment, when Andrew kisses Spencer back and the kiss seems to be more real than for show…that Eli wants to talk. *sigh* What’s a defeated Spencer to do? Get drunk, that’s what and go to his friends hoping to somehow get over Andrew. Midway through his drunk and after he has broken down guess who shows up….Andrew!!!! Is it to say goodbye or is it to say Hello as something more than a client?

N.R. Walker will leave you begging for more of this series which has started out with a bang! I simply cannot wait for books 2&3 — excellent book!!!
