What do you do when the one you least expect to matter…

Ends up mattering the most?

Derek Pearson likes to think he’s an easygoing guy. Uncomplicated, upfront, and unapologetic with what he wants. His what you see is what you get attitude is on prominent display for anyone who cares to look, and his foul mouth is right there to back it up should you miss the point.

However, what you see isn’t always what you get, and only a select few have ever glimpsed the real man under the brash exterior.

Among them? Professor Jordan Devaney. Complicated, high-maintenance, and vibrant, he’s Derek’s opposite in every way. From the moment they saw each other, a love-hate relationship began.
?
But what happens when one person wants more?

Devil’s Kiss is the beautiful love story of Jordan and Derek whom me met in Finley. When I first read about them I thought I had an idea of how their story would go. But when I read Devil’s Kiss I was surprised by the way their story was built and developed and it was one I did not see coming at all. This book spans over a few years and story moves through various incidents at different points in their life.

Derek and Jordan are two characters who have more to them than meets the eye. This story is not your usual student teacher love story and is really different. Derek had a hard life and he had to face quite a lot. His past and the way he was brought up had made it difficult to believe and trust in others. And Jordan is the free spirit who loves living his life in his own terms and does not want any regrets. They both have that amazing chemistry and they both kept challenging each other as they both are really strong headed. But Jordan also is the one person who comes through for Derek every time. The most beautiful part of this book is the way throughout the years Jordan is there for Derek. He understands and gives Derek the acceptance he craves and gives him a form of stability he never had. They both had their own issues which they needed to overcome to reach their happily ever after and they did. It was beautiful to read about two people who loved each other unconditionally and accepted each other for who they are.

Devil’s Kiss is a beautiful love story which will definitely surprise you in ways you never expected. Derek and Jordan will take a piece of your heart captive and will never let go. Read this book for an amazing and unforgettable ride.
