Devin Piers Nilsson, a cold blooded killer, is not looking for any action when he visits his regular haunt, the Silver Fox Bar and Grille; then he meets Ewyn Kelley Calderone. Ewyn works at the same agency but they have never met and when they do the attraction is immediate. 24 hours later they are in love and Ewyn sets up house in Devin’s apartment.

There are numerous impediments to their relationship, from Ewyn’s family connections to Devin’s job at the agency, and Devin’s past lover who wants him back. Also, Ewyn is not quite forthcoming about a number of important family connections.

The feelings between the two main characters are unmistakable. But Ewyn is running scared. He was previously the victim of domestic abuse by his previous partner, a Russian gangster, and he doesn’t want to open up to Devin because he is afraid Devin could be hurt or killed. Then people start dying around Ewyn and he becomes the prime suspect. He is rapidly running out of options. Devin is also racing against time to find out who is being targeted, by whom, and why, and he has to stop the murderer before next target is killed.

Memories Erased is a terrific book on all fronts. The love story between Ewyn and Devin is engrossing and realistic, despite the background of intrigue and murder. The heat generated between them is off the scale and the sex is poignant, funny, caring and above all, extremely loving. The story was hard to put down because it is riveting and fast moving and the characters are well drawn and believable. M.E. Reid has done an incredible job of keeping me on the edge of my seat and entertained from the first page to the end. This book is well worth re-reading and kudos to the author for an amazing and imaginative tale.
