Jimmy’s job in customer service is just a paycheck, in his eyes. But his boss Debbie wishes he were more of a “people person” and more enthusiastic about coming to work. To improve his skills, she schedules him to attend a two-day, out-of-town workshop Jimmy’s already dreading.

Then he discovers Scott Raines will be tagging along.

Jimmy’s had a fierce crush on Scott, who works in sales, since his first day at the office. The man is gorgeous and funny and so damn intimidating, Jimmy hasn’t yet screwed up the courage to ask him out. Maybe the workshop will provide the perfect opportunity to remedy that. They’ll travel together, share a hotel room, and who knows where things may lead? Jimmy might yet get to make his move.

Unless Scott makes one first…

On Company Time is told in the first person by Jimmy who has a unique voice. He seems to have only one thing and one person on his mind and they both involve Scott Raines – naked. His job in customer service is not very interesting and he really is not terribly efficient because he’s easily distracted but he can be focused when he wants to be as long as it involves Scott who is on his radar and about whom he has x-rated thoughts when he’s supposed to be working.

Jimmy is somewhat of a nerd and is always tripping over himself and doesn’t seem to realize that Scott is just as attracted to him. This trip is going to be the first time for him to show Scott his moves but he starts out by banging his head on the trunk of the car in his usual accident-prone way.

However, things get a whole lot better when they arrive at their destination and check in and he has a peek of Scott in his underwear, but they don’t do anything that night to satisfy those raging hormones because after 6 hours on the road they are too pooped to party.

On Company Time is really funny and even though there isn’t a whole lot of sex in the book, when the guys do get together the heat is incendiary. Jimmy proves to Scott that he’s not the nerdy, bumbling person he appears to be but that he is very knowledgeable about what turns his man on and his execution is flawless. We don’t get a lot of information about Scott’s feelings other than what he tells Jimmy but what we do know is that he’s hot for him, knows what he wants and goes after it with a vengeance. With Jimmy in his sights he’s ready to let him have it with both .. um .. barrels.

Although Jimmy and Scott are totally different there are no barriers between the sheets and when our two lovers do get going there’s no stopping them. On Company Time is a terrific read and fans of J.M. Snyder will enjoy the story and these two characters.
