The end of the year is the start of a whole new beginning…
A Tabloid Star story.
Josh Bauer and Ryan Kellar sweated through a turbulent start to their relationship. Now that they’ve embarked on a life together, filled with family friends—and each other—Ryan’s suffering sweaty palms again. For an entirely different reason.
It’s not the heat they generate every time they’re alone together. It’s not even the crush of people at Josh’s jam-packed birthday party. It’s the birthday present Ryan’s carrying in his jeans pocket. The one that could make him the happiest man in the world, come New Year’s Eve.
If Josh says “yes”…
With This Ring is told partly in flashbacks starting with when Ryan proposed to Josh on his birthday, overwrought and overcome with nerves because he didn’t know what his lover’s answer would be. He knew that Josh loved him but what he had no idea about was whether Josh would want to be married. Josh was touched and said yes immediately and this short book is the culmination of their love affair which started 7 months earlier.
A few things have changed since Tabloid Star where their romance began in the glare of the tabloids when Josh and Ryan were photographed kissing in an alley. Josh was now working one job instead of three, his sister Erin was in a stable relationship and everyone who mattered was happy that Ryan and Josh were getting married.
This is a sweet story with no major hiccups and the happy couple was, of course, over the moon. The writing was terrific as usual and Ryan’s fiesty Aunt Edna, at 90 years old, was a delight as she flirted with every young man in sight. As is usual at weddings there were lots of tears but much joy. A very romantic ending to a turbulent romance.
With This Ring is not a standalone story. Fans of Tabloid Star who looked forward to the day when Josh and Ryan tied the knot will be very happy and will probably cry along with them. 😀 Recommended.
This book will be available from Samhain Publishing on December 29
