Author Kathleen Lee’s Books Reviewed

Kathleen LeeMost book reviewers have their favorite authors. Authors that put out books they absolutely love and award 5 stars, without fail. The popular authors that come to mind for me are Eli Easton and K.A. Mitchell. I’m crazy about them.

But sometimes an author comes along that isn’t nearly as high-profile and they kind of sneak up on you. I have a few lesser known authors that publish 5 stars reads for me including A.R. Moler and Cassidy Ryan.

I have a new one to add to my list: Kathleen Lee. Kathleen Lee only writes short stories. I’m actually not a big fan of short stories because the characters are usually one-dimensional and there isn’t enough time for the plot to develop and the book just ends up as plotless-porn. But Ms. Lee has a knack for fleshing out her characters in a short period of time, giving them a voice and personality and setting up the story so that it oozes passion. Score!

I can highly recommend all of her books to you. This is a complete list of the books she as written to date. Most are free or available free if you are a Kindle Unlimited user. She has not published a book in over a year, but I sure hope she gives us something new soon. She’s delightful!

When trouble strolls in, common sense walks out.

After a lifetime of rejection by those he loved, Gary returned to the one place that once made him happy and resigned himself to a life alone. Opening his bar–aptly named ‘Trouble’–was his way of building a future and reminding himself what he needed to stay away from. Except Brock seems just as determined to win Gary over as Gary is to stay away. And when Gary realizes Brock may be the real deal, he must choose between protecting his heart or taking the ultimate chance on love.

Gary guards his heart with his life. No one will penetrate the high walls he has built up. So when Brock, AKA Trouble, comes along, Gary sees him coming a mile away and the struggle is real as he attempts to fight off his attraction to the beautiful, passionate, sexy-as-sin man.

Now this is how you write a sexy-as-fuck short story! Hot as hell and you won’t even notice how short it is when you finish. Great, surprisingly fleshed out characters. Bravo! Probably the best M/M book (a standalone) I’ve read under 50 pages.

Recommended! I really dig Kathleen Lee.
