2nd Edition

When it comes to relationships, college roommates Greg and Keith are polar opposites. A recovering addict, Greg avoids sex because it’s too closely tied in his mind with the alcohol and drugs he gave up. In contrast, Keith protects his heart by limiting sex to one-night stands and weekend flings.

As the two get to know each other better, they feel drawn together, and slowly they take tentative steps toward something real. Their attraction soon flares hot, but Greg’s fears overwhelm him, sending him running. It’s up to Keith to help Greg learn to trust in himself—and in the way they feel about each other.

First Edition published as Accidental Love by Amber Quill Press, LLC/Amber Allure, 2012.

There is some books out there that when you are done reading them that you find yourself just smiling, well this is one of them for me. I really enjoyed this book.

Greg in my opinion is very scared. He is scared to live again because he is scared he will revert back to the ways that he used to be with sex, partying, and drugs. So he has pretty much shut himself up to hopefully prevent it from happening again. His life revolves basically around school and nothing else because of his fear. Basically I don’t think he has enough faith in himself to stay on the right path if temptation arises.

Keith in my opinion takes hooking up to a new level. I believe that is his fall to because he is scared of getting to close to anyone and getting hurt. Keith has lost everyone he has ever cared about (his mom, his dad, and his first and only real boyfriend). After losing them I believe he decided having no strings attached is better because he does not take a chance to get too involved with his heart that way.

Greg and Keith are roommates in college and even though both men have tried to keep their distance from one another because of the attraction they feel for the other, it seems the universe has different ideas for them. No matter how much they both try to push the other away because of their own issues, they just cannot seem to do it. They both find themselves falling more and more and both have to deal with their issues or they have to decide to move on.

This was a quick read but at the same time it had the impact that I think that Shaw Connor was hoping for, or at least it did for me. Even though this was a short story their was a lot of emotion out into this book and I felt it coming off of the pages, just as I felt how both Greg and Keith tried to fight and deny what they felt for one another. Like I said this book was one that left me smiling when I was done reading it and I would recommend it to others to read in a heartbeat. It was a wonderful read.

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
