They’ll do whatever it takes to save their team. But can two best friends survive a fake relationship?
Luke Trent is desperate to bring his team back together. If the Tigers can’t get over their slump, he’ll never make it to the pros. With the LGBT-inclusive ‘Rainbow Tigers’ mania dying down, it’ll take a crazy scheme to restore their former glory, and Luke has the perfect one in mind: Dating his best friend.
Brandon Tucker has secretly been in love with Luke for years. He knows he’s going to get hurt if he agrees to a pretend relationship with his very straight friend, but he can’t help it. This is as close as he’ll ever get to the real thing.
The strength of their friendship makes their lie an easy sell, and things are looking up for the Tigers. But when Luke kisses him in front of the whole team, Brandon can’t help but wonder if the only man he’s ever wanted might actually want him back.
With the fire of their fake romance beginning to burn true, a teammate’s devastating betrayal forces them to make a difficult choice: Sacrifice their relationship to save their career, or give up everything else for the chance at a once-in-a-lifetime love.
Trick Play is a really sweet, sexy and emotional best friends to lovers story. The book has two men whose relation starts as fake and turns into once in a life time kind of love for each other.
I loved Brandon and Luke. Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite themes and this book was about two best friends falling in love. What I loved the most was the relationship between Brandon and Luke, the depth of their bond and easiness with which they progress forward in their relationship. Brandon had been in love with Luke for years and the fake relationship is the only thing which will give him a semblance of a real relationship with him. And he takes that chance and that changes both their lives. Luke, for someone who realized his attraction to his best friend, dealt with it fairly easy and went head on with exploring their new found connection. Their passion, their chemistry and the way the author has explored it was really hot and sexy. The author has also portrayed their relationship in a realistic manner by portraying the issues they faced together. As much as their relationship was smooth sailing, they also faced their own share of problems and issues which needed them to communicate and sort it out. I really liked the way author had developed their relation. They both had to grow together in the relationship in order for them to get their happily ever after. Brandon and Luke and their completely endearing friendship and relation will capture your heart.
Trick Play is a beautiful best friends to love story which will capture you heart and leave you a smile after you are done reading their story. If you love sports romance and best friends falling in love, this is your book..!!!
