A Wrench Wars Story

Best friends since they were teenagers, Ward Kent and Dean Zimmerman work together at Reggie’s garage, where the reality show Wrench Wars is filmed. Outside of work, Dean is a notorious player, and as far as he’s concerned, Ward’s the best wingman ever. Little does he know, Ward is much more interested in the gentlemen than the ladies.

Then Dean’s younger brother, Ash, comes to work at the garage. Ash may be seven years younger, but he’s had a crush on Ward for years, and he’s not shy about going after what he wants.

Admitting his best friend and his brother are gay is one thing. Seeing them together? That’s a bit more than Dean can take, and he’s about to force Ward to make a decision: lose his best friend and his job, or give up Ash forever.

I have to say that this book is my favorite so far in this series. There has always been drama in the books in this series but I think this one has been the most dramatic thus far.

Dean and Ward have been best friends since they were young. They have always done everything together including going to work for the same company. Both are mechanics but Ward prefers the behind the scenes for Wrench Wars verses Dean loving being in the spot light. Dean is also way more out going then Ward is but Dean is so used to Ward being his wingman that Ward never wants to disappoint him. Especially since he is really his only family.

Ward is to the point he wants to meet someone and settle down and he also knows that the oersom he is most likely to settle down with is a man but Dean has never accepted that. Even though Dean knows that Ward has been with men, Dean acts as if he thinks Ward is not gay.

Dean has a surprise for Ward and Ward is worried because Dean’s surprises are usually something that he does not really enjoy but Dean is Dean and Ward loves him like a brother. So even though he is not excited about the surprise he goes along with it.

This surprise is about to rock Wards world off its axis and Deans also in the process. The last thing that Ward expected Dean’s surprise to be is a person and a person that he knows at that. This person is Ash, Dean’s baby brother. He has moved to town and is now working with them behind the scenes of Wrench Wars next to Ward.

Ward is blown away by How much Ash has grown up and even more blown away by the attraction they both feel towards each other. The only problem, which turns out to be a mjorr problem is Dean does not approve of the budding romance between is best friend and his brother. Dean is out for blood and from the looks of things, it is about to get worse. The question is when Ward is faced with losing his best friend or the guy he is falling in love with, who will he choose and how will it all end.

This book was a short story but it was emotionally packed. There was so many different emotions that was flying off the pages it was almost overwhelming the crap these three men went through. I really enjoyed this read and I really enjoyed all the ups and downs the three of them went through. This book was more realistic then the previous books in my opinion because I could actually visualize this scenario happening in real life. It was a great read and I look forward to reading more books by Marie Sexton in the future.

Galley copy of Making Waves (Wrench Wars Book 4) provided by Dreamspinner Press in exchange of an honest review.

This is a book I would describe as a book full of resentment, pain, heartache, love, and troubled hearts. It is a short story about falling for your best friends brother. This is a problem for many different reasons and if not careful someone is going to end up hurt.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
