Can two very different men find the love they need to survive?

Remi Ginn’s an easygoing werecat with a love of snarky T-shirts. He would be perfectly happy with a human mate. Is that what the goddess Bast gives him? Of course not. Instead she gifts him with Marshell, a Vetala, a snakelike nonshifter who drinks blood to survive. A man who’s just as toppy as Remi—and even more powerful than the West Falls Clowder’s Alpha and heir apparent.

While Remi is deciding whether he can handle the fates’ choice, hunters attack Marshell. Afterward, in an explosion of passion, Remi and Marshell mate and Remi declares Marshell his. Now they have to figure out how to make their relationship work as they dance around each other.

The clowder is in turmoil, and Remi’s acceptance of Marshell rocks the very foundation of the insular group. The consequences will be far-reaching. And if that isn’t problem enough, the situation with the hunters is far from resolved… as proved by the appearance of an Alpha werewolf.

Let me first say that I did enjoy reading this book, however I felt like there was too much going on at the beginning of the book. I wish that the author could have separated the two main antagonists a bit better. I just felt it was too much at one time, and maybe then the flow of the story would have been better as well.

Out of the two MC’s I really liked Remi’s humor; especially how he displays it in the shirts he wears. I also enjoyed the sarcastic banter between Remi and Marshell. I really felt like it suited their relationship; not to mention, the hot vibes between the two are undeniable. Given that they are both dominate in the bedroom, it makes it a very interesting read to see who ends up on top! <—see what I did there :p

However, I was somewhat disappointed in Marshall’s character. He’s supposed to be this bad ass, but it seems as if his ass was the only one getting beat. Not to mention the power he possesses. Other than the other shifters feeling his power when they are around him, there was no real physical display of it. What is his power?!?

For those of you that haven’t read the first two books in the series, don’t fret. M.A. Church does a great job giving us a brief overview of each character and their past situations; therefore, not leaving you lost in the story.

I will say, that I’m excited to read book four in the series when it comes out. I’m intrigued how it will all play out for Dolf’s Beta, Alderic. Not only is his mate a werewolf, but he is also the Alpha. I need to know, are the two packs going to partner somehow? Is Janelle going to take Aldreic’s place as the first female beta? I need to know these things! I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait 🙂

I love reading books about boys who love other boys <3. Sometimes there is a HEA or HFN, but sometimes it just is. Yes, I love all outcomes even it is not what I hoped for. We all need a good cry from time to time. As you can probably can tell, I love cliffhangers as well. Yeah, I am one of those people :) I read a variety of genres, whether it is dark/taboo, historical, shifters, GFY, SciFi, mysteries/thrillers; I love it all.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
