They’ll do whatever it takes to save their team. But can two best friends survive a fake relationship?

Luke Trent is desperate to bring his team back together. If the Tigers can’t get over their slump, he’ll never make it to the pros. With the LGBT-inclusive ‘Rainbow Tigers’ mania dying down, it’ll take a crazy scheme to restore their former glory, and Luke has the perfect one in mind: Dating his best friend.

Brandon Tucker has secretly been in love with Luke for years. He knows he’s going to get hurt if he agrees to a pretend relationship with his very straight friend, but he can’t help it. This is as close as he’ll ever get to the real thing.

The strength of their friendship makes their lie an easy sell, and things are looking up for the Tigers. But when Luke kisses him in front of the whole team, Brandon can’t help but wonder if the only man he’s ever wanted might actually want him back.

With the fire of their fake romance beginning to burn true, a teammate’s devastating betrayal forces them to make a difficult choice: Sacrifice their relationship to save their career, or give up everything else for the chance at a once-in-a-lifetime love.

Friends to Lovers story are my weakness, couple it with Football and I AM GOLDEN. And when the MCs are sexy and mostly clueless best friends who fall for each other after a kiss, I am bouncing around completely giddy with a freaky smile on my face. I completely loved this book. It was insanely addictive and super HOT. Loved Brandon and Luke and their crazy HOT chemistry.

Luke and Brandon are best buds since they were kids. They are both striving towards a professional career in football. Their team have been suffering from the start of the season and Luke hatches a plan to bring “RAINBOW TIGERS” back in everybody’s radar. The only problem: There are no gay players in their team (or ARE THERE??) Luke ropes in Brandon to pretend as his “secret lover” It’s all fun and games until one kiss changes everything.

Luke has always been straight so his sudden lust and emotions for his best friend after a single kiss boggles his mind. Brandon also seems to be as affected as Luke so what starts as a fake relationship turns in a full fledged relationship pretty soon.

Brandon had been in love with his best friend since seventh grade so after Luke’s incredulous proposal of being fake lovers is his wildest dream coming true. When his always straight best friend kisses him and then proceeds to ravage him against a wall, he is not able to put a stop to it. After a social media slip when their pretend relationship is revealed, both of their future careers are hanging by a thread. Tempers fly and words are said which ultimately halts their budding romance in its path. Can they salvage their love and their careers??? Read to find out.

This is by far the best book in this series. Luke and Brandon are so in love that I could not help but fall in love too. Luke was such a sweet heart. He realizes that he is attracted to his BF but he does not go through any crazy denial. He completely gives in to the fierce passion between them. And the single minded way in which he goes after his feelings for Brandon is awesome!!!

Brandon is not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. His best friend is into him and he is shocked. But his intense feelings towards Luke could not be kept under wraps for long. He is just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Well, it does but they do come out as “champions of Love”, so yeah, I loved it!!!

The passion exploded after their one kiss. And HOLY!! Do they sizzle. The smexy parts were steamy and incredibly HOT. Luke’s enthusiasm in trying everything he has missed out on was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!

My one qualm about this book was the ending. First, Luke’s father’s acceptance of his son was unrealistic after the constant reminders throughout the book that he is a homophobe. Second, the entire NCAA ordeal, it was very unfair. Luke and Brandon were very much in love when the story breaks out so the unfair judgement by NCAA was cruel. I hate them!!*pouts* But hey, Luke shows off his love by his sacrifice and that’s what a TRUE LOVE makes*sigh*

I am in love with this series and will be waiting for more from this author. Highly recommended!!!
