Chris Bacon is dead. Long live Chrisander Baccioni?

Unable to walk or talk coherently after a hit and run attack, Chris finds himself on the other side of the world with Jase firmly in babysitting mode. Pity and betrayal, even if it was for ‘his own good’ wasn’t something Chris tolerated from anyone, least of all from an ex-lover who was hanging around only out of a misguided sense of duty.

The barely breathing battered boy was all Kathleen had to wipe away her daughter’s shame and continue the Baccioni dynasty. Despite Chrisander’s unfortunate childhood, her grandson was young enough to mould into a god-fearing family man. Surely only an idiot would reject a life of respect and luxury with a beautiful, intelligent woman by his side, for a grubby little flat and a dirt poor, ex-army sergeant.

Emma Jaye has blown me to high heaven and back with this series.when reading it I find my emotions running rampant. I am all over the place emotionally. I am either laughing at Chris and the things he either gets up too or the trouble he undoubtedly finds himself in because he can not seem to hold himself back. Then other times I find myself mad as all get out especially at Chris because no matter how much I like him, he does not use the best judgment and seems to jump to the worst case sernerio and ends up hurting the one person I think loves him the most in the world, Jase. Then on the other end of the spectrum I find myself heartbroken for all the things that Chris has been through and again will undoubtedly will go through because no matter how much he. Elieves himself to be strong minded, I do not personally believe that he is. I think he is a lot more broken then he lets people see and him trying to hide that brokenness leads to him being helpless to those who can and will prey on him.

This book was a continuation of book one and I have to say that at times I found my heart racing as I was reading it. I also have to admit that I truly uncertain how things was going to turn out between Jase and Chris especially after Chris used extremely poor judgment when it came to other people. Jase is definitely close to a saint to move past some of the things that Chris has put him through.

When the two men went to the US in order to protect Chris from whomever tried and almost succeeded in killing him it was almost the end of these two men. It was unfamiliar Territory for both men and add to it the injuries that Chris sustained and his bad attitude, the situation could not get much worse. Or at least I did not think it could have but with most great books, you never truly know what is coming until it happens and Emma Jaye definitely through in quite a few surprises in this book.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series comes out because the first two have been phenomenal and I have no doubt that the next one will be just as awesome!!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
