Justin Walker is used to being the hookup but never the boyfriend, and that’s okay. Justin has goals—he might sling burgers by night and work on his car by day, but he has plans to go to school and make a life for himself. He also has a few friends and loving parents.

What more could a guy ask for?

Hot, muscular, manly Shane Steel is a walking wet dream. Justin fantasizes about having Shane as more than a casual acquaintance, and one night he works up the courage to flirt with Shane. To his surprise—and terror—Shane is interested. Very interested.

As they bond over their love of cars and drag racing, Justin begins to believe he can be more to Shane than a side guy. Too bad Shane’s manipulative and dangerous ex is dead set against letting that happen.

This was a great short story. I have to admit there was a few times that I got upset while I was reading it and wanted to hit one of the guys in this story.

Justin is this sweet, sensitive guy that wants to go to college and work a youth center and help kids. I don’t think that he is very confident in who he is and I think the one thing he wants more then to work at the youth center would be to find the person that he could love and would love him. He does not want to be someone’s hook up any more, he wants the real deal. He thinks that he may have found that with Shane or that is until Lukas comes back into Shane’s life and then Justin’s world gets shattered.

Shane owns his own business. He loves fixing up and working on cars. He and Justin have that in common and is where the two men find themselves becoming closer over. There love for cars is what brings them together and Shane is totally into Justin. After going on a date to a restaurant together and running into Lukas again, Justin shuts Shane out. Shane does not understand why and after trying numerous times to reach Justin Shane decides to go and hang out with Lukas at the restaurant/bar for the night and catch up. This was the beginning of the end because Lukas was determined to have Shane no matter the cost and who got hurt in the end.

This may have been a short story but there was a lot that happened in it. I truly wanted to punch Lukas for Justin’s sake. I also found myself wanting to tell Shane to open his eyes as to what was really going on around him. This was a good read and I enjoyed every bit of it. Tracey Michael did a good job on it. Look forward to reading more stories by this author in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
