Will a centuries-old broken heart ruin the promise of new love?

Dominic Ashworth is descended from a long line of witches, although the family practice of witchcraft died out generations ago. Forever connected to a dark history, the house he grew up in remained in the Ashworth family for generations until his estranged father sold it.

On a mission to check out the new owners, Dominic runs into Caleb Jones and gives the gorgeous man his phone number—but getting a date should be the last thing on Dominic’s agenda.

Caleb and his best friend, Zach Briceworth, are oblivious to the heartache and magic tied to the foundations of their new home. When strange things start to happen, the truth emerges and surprises them both, especially as everything revolves around Caleb’s new love interest.

After a shaky start, Caleb and Dominic settle into an easy relationship, falling faster than either of them expected. But with Halloween approaching, the possibility of danger increases. The past is not always as it seems, and the ripples of a tragic event threaten to put an end to everything between them.

This is a book that is not only creepy in some ways because of dealing with ghosts but also sad. The legend of the Ashworth’s family is a sad tale with an unhappy and ever sadder ending.

Dominic is a direct descendant of Alexander and Isaac Ashworth. He has been told the tales most of his life. He knows that his tattoo and every family member is supposed to ward off Alexander Ashworth and his black magic. He just never knew if the tales was true or not. He did know that hthe farm house could not be sold to anyone outside of the bloodline. So when his father up and sold the farm house both Dominic and Alice had to make sure that the new owner (very much removed family members) were also protected with the tattoo.

Dominic decided the best course of action was to go to the house and scope out the new owner and see for himself that the protection wards were in place on each family member that lived there. According to the legend that is the only way to protect each family member from Alexander who was banished to another veil which if the family is not all protected on Halloween then Alexander could reach them or worse free himself to be able to use black magic again.

Once Dominic went to check out the new owner he met Caleb instead and both men were attracted to each other instantly. After spending some time together they both grew closer but at the same time very strange things started happening in the house. Dominic finally explained the past with the house and Alexander and Isaac and things started to go back to normal. But that did not last and Alexander was getting stronger the closer it got to Halloween. If Dominic and his family did not figure out how to fight Alexander and soon then it may too late for one of them.

This book was such an amazing read. I could not put it down. It was intriguing and very interesting reading the story as all of its mysteries unfolded on each page. Annabelle Jacobs did an amazing job at catching my attention in the prologue and keeping me intrigued and enraptured to the very end. This is definitely a book I would recommend to others to read.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
