Nothing beats getting out of the concrete jungle and into the quiet of the forest. Website designer Scottie Ness is taking a well-deserved vacation from the grindstone, and he plans to spend it in the solitude of Washington’s Gifford Pinchot National Forest around Mt. Adams. He’s prepared for everything—except the lightning storm that traps him in a wildfire.

The firefighter who rescues him sustains serious injuries and ends up in the hospital. Jax Quintero might be abrasive, but the guy saved his life, and Scottie wants to thank him. As they spend time together during Jax’s recovery and exploring the state’s landmarks when he’s released from the hospital, Scottie discovers there’s more to Jax than a smart-ass adrenaline junkie. Jax reassesses his opinion of Scottie as an arrogant city boy who has no business in the mountains. Though Jax’s wounds prevent them from taking things as far as they’d like for a while, they can’t deny the heat building between them—and this is one fire they don’t want to put out.

Scottie is one of those people who loves nature and his idea of an amazing vacation is going in to the mountains and camping and becoming one with nature. He enjoys hiking and getting as many pictured as he can of the wildlife and mountains.

His vacation is planned and going perfectly until there is a lightning storm that sparks a forest fire. Unfortunately Scottie is caught in the middle of it and if it was not for the firefighter that risked his life and was injured also in the process then Scottie would not have made it out alive.

No one ever expects to have a major crisis bring to them the one person that is meant for them. But that is what happened when Hax rescued Scottie. It was definitely not love at first sight. Both men assumed the worst of the other because of where they came from and their attitudes towards the other. But Scottie felt he owed it to Jax to at the very least get him a present to occupy his time while he is recovering in the hospital after saving his life.

The more time these two men spent together the closer they became. Also the more the attraction is between them grew. Sometimes something good can come out of a not so good circumstances.

These two men may never have crossed paths if it had not of been for Jax having to save Scottie’s life. I believe that their reward was finding each other.

This is a short story that is full of humor and lust. It has two hot men that are determined to get to know one another. It was a wonderful story about how something bad can definitely turn into something amazing. It was a great story. I really enjoyed reading it and think others will also.

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
