2nd Edition

When Killian Barth, history professor, meets Blaine Genneau, quantum physicist, they ignite their own big bang. But Killian can’t pursue a physics professor—or a human. As the most powerful male witch in ten generations, Killian must bolster his dying race by reproducing—despite the fact that he’s gay.

Even a fling with Blaine is out of the question, because Killian has been told sex with humans drains his power. But if that’s true, why can young human Jimmy Janx dissolve spoons with the power of his mind? If Killian can sort through the lies he’s been fed, he’ll still face his biggest obstacle—convincing rational scientist Blaine to believe in magic.

With his ancient and powerful cat familiar, Aloysius, on his shoulder, Killian brings the lightning against deceit and greed to save Blaine from danger and prove love is the greatest power of them all.

First Edition published by Loose Id, 2012.

I have to say that Tara Lain made this book very interesting and very entertaining at that same time. I completely fell in love both all the characters in this book from Blaine, to Killian, to Lavender, to Jimmy, and even Aloysius. This book was not like most witch stories but it was a great read and it was an amazing adventure.

Killian tried so hard to fight his attraction to Blaine. He tried to walk away. He tried to avoid. He even tried to move on to someone else. But nothing could take his mind off of Blaine. Even the warnings about witches getting involved with humans and it depleting their power did nothing to curve his attraction or how much he wanted Blaine.

Blaine knew that he wanted Killian from the moment that he met him. Not being one to normally chase after someone else, Blaine could not let go of how much he felt for Killian. After their first time together he kne he wanted to spend the rest of his life together. But the problems was Killian was supposed to marry someone in an arranged marriage.

The woman that Killian was supposed to marry was Lavender but the problems lie in the fact that Killian is gay and Lavender is in love with Jimmie.

There is so much going on in this story. Tara Lain did an amazing job at writing this book from so many diffeebr points of views. With everything that was happening and who was in love with who and who was to marry who and for what reasons, it could have gotten very confusing very quickly. But Tara Lain did an amazing job putting this story together in a way that made everything flow together beautifully. Tara created a beautiful story that had a lot of love and laughter. It was a great read and I definitely look forward to reading more by Tara Lain in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
