Chad has pined for Raudel since high school, but he’s been avoiding him ever since Raudel caught him in an excruciatingly embarrassing moment. So when Chad’s sister invites Raudel to join them for her weeklong prewedding celebration at Lake Tahoe, Chad is horrified. He brainstorms his escape, until reality crashes down and he discovers he’s bunking with Raudel in the last available bedroom at the lakeside retreat.

Thrown together by the bridal party from hell, Chad and Raudel unite and attempt to survive Chad’s bridezilla sister, a crazy grandmother, an overbearing mother, and the search for the perfect chocolate fountain. Despite the little time they have together, they reconnect when unexpected discoveries come to light. Love may find a way amid the nuptial chaos, but it’s unlikely to be exactly the way they expect.

States of Love: Stories of romance that span every corner of the United States.

Can we all say BRIDEZILLA!!! That is definitely what Chad’s sister was and so much more that I will not put in this post. But take my word for it, it would truly not be nice words. They only thing I can say that was good about something she did was bringing together Chad and Raudel. Because of Lindsey they were finally in the same place at the same time and was able to work out what they both thought happened in the past.

Chad in my opinion, even though is still young, knew and has known since he was 15 years old that he was truly in love with Raudel. But I think that Chad does not see his self as much of a catch. I got the feeling that everyone treated Chad like a child and did not give him any props on the fact that he has made something of himself where he works at. It may not be the most glamorous job and he may not make the most money but to start out part time three years earlier to now being assistant manager is quite the feat. He proves he is hard working and takes his job seriously even though it is only a yogurt shop. I know his family loves him but I just do not think they realize just how much of an adult he really is at the age of 22 years old, so in turn he does not see his worth and value in his accomplishments like he should.

Raudel is the one that really surprised me in this book. To find out he has harbored feelings for Chad all this time also blew my mind. Raudel knew Chad was who he wanted but he knew that at the time when he first realized that he felt he same feelings for Chad that Chad felt for him, he knew it was not the right time. But now all bets are off. Raudel has decided to take advantage of this time with Chad and persue what he knows could be amazing between them.

Well he plans to persue him if they can make it through all the craziness of Lindsey’s wedding in one piece. That is the true quest. To survive Lindsey and Kate (Chad’s mom) before someone has a complete meltdown. The hopes is that it will not be Chad or Raudel that is caught in the crossfire when that inevitably happens. But all bets are off on that aspect when both men pull a disappearing act for the night and come back with their own surprise for everyone.

This book was such an entertaining read. I found myself laughing at all the things that was going on. But at the same time I truly felt sorry for Chad because everything that went wrong was taken out on him at every which direction. I am just glad that he had Raudel to help get him through everything before he blew up at someone. This book was a very good read!!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
