2nd Edition

One moment Riley Murrough is living a normal life working in a coffee shop, and the next he’s running for his life from demons, learns he bears the mark of a shape-shifter king from a magical realm, and—worst of all—he’s destined to become the mated prince to the arrogant tiger shifter he would rather strangle.

Khalon, the shifter king, is equally distraught at the idea of being bound to a human prince, and along with his Soldati warriors, he sets out to return Riley to his own world where he belongs. On their journey they might discover why the priestess brought them together—if they can escape the demons and make it to her alive.

First Edition published as The Soldati Prince in Charmed & Dangerous by JCP Books LLC, 2015.

Charlie Cochet amazes me more and more with each book of hers that I read. This book is no exception. As soon as I read the description of this book I looked forward to reading this book because I knew that it would be good but I did not realize that it would actually be incredible.

This is a book that is full of magic. Not only the kind of magic that is found in another realm but also the magic of two men that could not stand each other in sight to only learn they were destined to be mates for life. Talk about an awkward situation.

Riley is one of those people that lead a normal life if not boring. He worked. He went home each night. He had friends and family. But he also has an out of this world mate that he knew nothing about, much less knew the existence of such things as mates and magic and actual demons that try to kill you. So when out of the blue demons appeared and tried to kill him for him to be saved by a tiger that turned out to be a man but not a man at all. Well let’s just say that Riley was ready to check himself into the hospital for observation.

Riley soon learns that not only is all of this very much real but that he is mated to the King of Soldati and worse yet, he really does not care much for the overgrown brute. Riley does not feel bad about not liking Khalon because the feelings are very much mutual. So much so that both men have decided they need to head the priestess to have the mating bond reversed and fast.

What neither of the men anticipated is that the demons are very much in sync with destroying Riley before the bond can be reversed or before the bond is solidified between the two men. So trouble is definitely brewing and Khalon has to do what is necessary to keep Riley safe. Another thing neither man anticipated was along the way, through all the danger that they would grow closer.

Regardless of how they are starting to feel about the other they both have their reasons as to why they will not deal their bond to other and continue on their journey to try and reverse their bond. The only thing is danger is getting worse and Riley may not have the strength to make it to the priestess in time to reverse anything before the demons catch up to him.

I have to be honest I was quickly drawn into this book and could not wait to see what would happen next. It started out with action and ended with it. Their was constantly something happening in this book that it made it an extremely exciting read, I look forward to more of this series in the future. Such a great read!!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
