Sequel to A Bond of Three
It is twenty years since the Bond of Three returned to Teruna. The kingdom of Kandor, once Teruna’s enemy, seeks help and sends its finest warrior, Dainon, on a diplomatic mission. A solitary man since his wife and child died, Dainon is unable to explain why an encounter with a young man on a beach rocks his world to its core.
Prince Arrio of Teruna has always been attracted to men but has never acted on it—until he meets Dainon. Headstrong Arrio goes after what he wants, despite his fathers’ advice. But when Prince Kei arrives unexpectedly, Arrio finds himself drawn to both men. Is history repeating itself?
Prince Kei has his first taste of freedom and is shocked when the visions that have plagued him since childhood become reality. The three men embark on a voyage of discovery. No one has foreseen the day, however, when the arrival of a stranger threatens to destroy their bond.
I really liked book one “A Bond Of Three” but this sequel was so amazing. It was not an easy feat for these theee to come together. A even harder feat for them to admit they was all meant to be. Then you throw in danger and uncertainty over where their future may be and what it holds for the three of them and you have “A Bond of Truth”.
It was hard to not fall for all three men in this book. They all had different things about each of them that I liked. With Dainon it is his loyalty. His unwavering need to protect those that he cares for and loves no matter what the cost may be. Dainon was by far the hardest one to come to terms with the fact that his soul mate was not only a man and even more so that it was two men. When he got with the program there was no holding him back. Once he had his head around falling in love with two men, Dainon did not look back nor did he hold back. He knew he had to apologize for how he fought against the pull the three of them felt for each other and he knew he really needed to beg for forgiveness for running like he did. Dainon did not try to hide behind the gruff exterior of being a man and instead what he felt was the right thing in order to not only gain the respect of his two men but to show them he loved them and that was to admit to them he knew he was wrong and would never again doubt what they have together.
With Arrio it was that he kept before he thought. When he knew he wanted someone or something he jumped head first and prayed for a safe landing. Arrio is the type of person that lacks patience but when it comes to both of the men he loves, he will forever be patient if that is what it takes for the three of them to have a life together. When Arrio loves, he loves with all that he is and he will do whatever he can to prove that love. Even if it means risking his own life for one or both of the men he loves and holds dear to him. His love for his fathers and his respect for them and all that they teach and instill in him is another trait that I really loved about Arrio. He never let it go to his head that he is a prince and treats everyone he meets the same as he would his own fathers or the men he loves.
Keri is the one that really captures my heart the most. He may be small in stature but he makes up for that in the way loves every creature and person around him. He may can hear everything others are thinking but he does not let that go to his head or use it to his advantage. His love for all animals and the way they react to him is simply amazing. There is nothing but a pure heart in Kei and even the animals around him can sense that. There is an innocence about Kei that does not leave him and I think that he is what will keep the three of these men together. He is the one who entwined the three men and makes their bond unbreakable.
This book was truly an amazing read and I really enjoyed taking this journey with them. There was so much love within this book. I definitely look forward to more about them in the future. Or at least I hope there will be more.
