L’Ange: Book Three

Jon Slade finally met his mate, but instead of it being the happiest day of his life, it became the saddest when wolf shifter Kelvin MacCurdy chose his obligations over their fated bond, leaving Jon to pick up the pieces of his shattered dreams. Lucky for him, Roman Howell, his boss and the owner of L’Ange, saw promise in the forlorn lion and put him to work so he wouldn’t have time to sit around and lick his wounds while he waited for his wounded spirit to heal.

Then the wolves make an official visit to L’Ange, and Jon finds out Kelvin’s pining for him is taking its toll on his position as the king’s champion. Though Kelvin’s training and the expectations of others steer him toward an intended mate, Jon has an unbreakable hold on his heart, and it’s no longer possible for Kelvin to keep himself from where he truly belongs.

But the conclave brings more than Kelvin to the château. It also brings a challenge to jackal alpha Quade Danas, a threat that Quade and Roman, Arman and Linus, and Jon and Kelvin may have to fight in order to keep L’Ange’s family intact. Jon never wanted to lead a pride, but the loyalty and devotion to one is ingrained in him. Kelvin was raised to punish anyone who questioned his king, but the calling to protect others runs through his veins just as deeply. To come out on the other side of the battle together, Jon and Kelvin will have to hold the darkness of solitary pride and broken hearts at bay—and find strength in belonging to something bigger than themselves.

This is the first book I have read in this series but I will say this, that is all it took and I am now hooked.

I really love shifter books and this one was no exception. It may be about two men in the pack but it was also a look at the larger scale with other members of the pack also.

Job met his Fated mate only to be told that they cannot be together. Job was heartbroken. This is the one thing he has always wanted and prayed to find but did not think that it would happen. Now to have found it and be told he can never have it, he is broken.

Even after a year, he is still not over having met Kelvin only to have him walk away. But fate has other plans for these two men and the other men in this pack also.

Kelvin tried to forget about Jon but it wa impossible to do so when his wolf pack returns to L’Ange again Kelvin has already decided he will have his mate even if he has to give up the life he has always known.

This should be easy but it is not. There is certain protocol that Kelvin has to go through in order to be let out of his responsibilities and to live the life that he wants to live with Jon but the King of Kelvin’s tribe is determined to make it all has hard as possible for this to happen. In order for Kelvin and Jon to be able to walk away from this they are going to need the help of everyone in Jon’s pride in order to accomplish this and still be alive to tell the tell.

This was such an adventurous read. There is so much action that it made it an extremely enjoyable read. I loved that Mary made these characters work for their relationship. It was not a meet and fall in love type of read. These men had to fight for the love that they felt, had to fight to keep each other and to be together. And they had to fight each other to be able to come out on the other side with even footing.

I cannot wait till the next book comes out. It should be an extremely amazing read as this one was also.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
