A new person will enter your life in the early year, Leo. Look past any moments of frustration they might bring and laugh—this could be the start of a thriving friendship.

Theo Wallace usually laughs at the horoscopes his mom sends. Still hung up on his ex-girlfriend and practically friendless, this one begs him to reconsider. Because a friendship that stuck, that thrived…

Well, that would be a reason to leave past pains behind and look to the Bright Future.

When his sister Leone challenges him to find her the perfect date for a spring wedding, Theo uses it as a chance to make new friends. Theo’s ex economics tutor and newest roommate Mr Jamie Cooper seems to be a possible and convenient match. Real convenient. Like written in the stars, convenient.

All he has to do is make sure this Jamie is good enough. Could really be the one for her, and the friend for him.

But watch out, Leo, the stars have a surprise in store…

Rock is one of my all time favorite books, and Leo loves Aries cemented the fact that Anyta Sunday is one amazing author.

There are so many things I loved about this book, I’m afraid I’ll accidentally leave something out:

-The banter. The banter was phenomenal! Snarky, clever, and hilarious dialogue all.the.time!

-The characters. Honestly, I liked each and every one of the characters in this book. Except the exes. I hated those, although they were very well sketched.

Theo is the most oblivious MC I have ever met. His obliviousness, though, resonated a lot with me because this was the first time he formed such a close relationship with a friend. It made sense that it took a while for him to realise that his feelings were not purely platonic.

And while Theo is the star in this book, Jaimie is my man! I LOVED everything about Jamie! (Fuck you Charlie! Fuck you hard!)

-The quotes in the beginning of each chapter and the text messages between the MCs.

-I’m SO not a horoscope person, but I liked that the story revolved around this idea.

-The T-SHIRT!!! That damn JLM T-shirt melted me a little.

-The “not freaking out” part. Theo just jerked off picturing another man sucking him off for the first time, and his first thought was just “huh, that was interesting”. I loved that!

The only reason I’m rounding down is that Theo’s obliviousness went a bit too far sometimes, which slowed down the pace of the story. I could have used a little more time with Theo and Jaimie together as a couple too. But there’s this closing chapter which is pretty amazing. (Fuck you Sam and Derek!)

Bottom line, I liked this book so much, I just want to hug it. Recommended!
