Cody is a cop with a mission. He’s the point of contact for another cop, one working deep undercover in an organized crime group. Thing is, Pete is not at all what he expects in a partner. Pete’s a little reckless, a lot hot, and probably not as careful as he ought to be when it comes to rendezvous with his contact.
Pete thinks Cody is pretty darned exciting. Cody’s a little reserved, a little afraid to let his macho side out, but Pete is more than happy to help Cody assert himself, even if it costs him his concentration on the job sometimes. When Pete runs into some serious danger, though, he has to hope Cody will come through for him. Will Pete and Cody live to tell the tale of their undercover romp?
Review of third read, December, 2016 (second edition)
Not thrilled with the new cover, but bumping this up to 4.5 stars and adding it to my absolute favorites shelf. This insta-lust that turns into love undercover cop story is excellent. Great sex, crazy emotions. Love this short story. It really hit the spot today and I plan on re-reading this annually.

With a cleared brain, not muddled with the Chris Owen’s goodness, I was able to see that this was really PWP, sex taking up about 90% the book. I’m all about the hot sex, don’t get me wrong, but plot does need to come into play eventually.
But, I still feel very fond of this one and think it deserves 4 stars. As long as you go in with a PWP attitude, I can recommend this to M/M romance fans.
