A Balls to the Wall Romance

A double dose of alpha male might be better than one.

Despite just getting out of an abusive relationship with an asshole alpha, David Underwood’s wandering glance lands on two hot members of the Australian volleyball team on Laguna Beach and gets him harassed again. Still, when the delicious Gareth Marshall proves his interest by coming out to his team, David succumbs to his attraction. But Gareth’s volleyball partner, Edge, who’s equally hot, makes the lovers’ lives miserable.

For Gareth, a lifetime of hiding his orientation—and his attraction—from his best friend, Edge, as well as everyone else around him, adds up to hurt and frustration. David’s the first man to ever compete with Edge for Gareth’s passion. But Edge has secrets of his own, and David’s ex-lover will never be happy without David under his fist. With everything stacked against him, can a gay Laguna man find happiness with an alpha male–or two?

A “pumped up” version of the Volley Balls story, twice as long as the original.

First Edition published by Etopia Press, 2011.

I love me some “volley balls”!!!!! Especially when it involves three hot men.

David is very skiddish after his last relationship ended because he was an abusive man. It went so badly that David had to get a restraining order to try and protect himself from his ex coming back and beating him some more or worse making good on his threat to kill him. So to say that he is skiddish when Gareth approaches him and is in some ways like his ex in the aspect that he is in the closet and very much an alpha of a man is like saying water is blue, very obvious.

Gareth feels an immediate connection to David. He feels such a strong connection to him that he is willing to come out and risk the relationship of his father and his best friend, Edge. Finally after some talking Gareth convinces David to give him a chance and David accepts that chance to see where things can go between them. Gareth also stood good on his word and came out in a big way and possibly has alienated his best friend in the process. But Gareth knows that David is worth it.

What Gareth and David neither know is Edge is not having a hard time because he cannot accept the fact his best friend is gay but rather he cannot accept it because he has been secretly harboring feelings for Gareth for a long time now and doesn’t understand why he chooses to be with David. Edge has come to the conclusion that he is going to find out. In the process of trying to figure it out Edge walks in on David being attacked by his ex and saves him.

This is the turning point for all theee men because this is when Edge kisses David after he saves him for all that he is worth and then some. Can these three men figure out and wade through all the muddy water and come out on the other side with the three of them together? Or will only two men out of the three end up together after it is all said and done?

This was a very fast paced read and very much an attention grabber from the beginning. It is sexy and suspenseful in a way and it was hard to put the book down. I very much enjoyed this read and would definitely recommend this book to others.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
