Patrick’s loss is Remy’s gain.

A Club Raven Novel

After his twin dies in battle, it’s Patrick Daniels’ duty to marry his brother’s fiancée. Too bad he can’t make himself do it, and in his distress, he manifests a psychic talent that’s stronger than the tornadoes in his native East Texas. Then a mysterious man from a place called Club Raven steps in and sweeps Patrick off to the booming East Coast city of Baltimore.

Club Raven veteran Remy Blanchard sees Patrick and knows, even though Patrick is very ill, that this is the challenge he’s been waiting for. He nurses Patrick back to health, and begins to teach Patrick to control his talent. His methods might be unconventional, and Patrick might be new to the kinds of sexual games Remy knows best, but the two of them find something in each other that might be just as magical as the gentleman’s club where they meet.

This book kind of through me. I was a decent read but I will be honest in saying that it left me confused.

I understand that Patrick suddenly came into his powers when his twin brother was killed and Patrick was injured during war. I also undstand that he had no idea that he had this powers or how him being upset through his powers in affect at full force andthat he could do some major damage. I also unstanc that there are others that are like him that has powers of their own and why he was brought to the Raven Club to have his powers accessed and if he was evil or if his powers could be controlled by him because if not it could definitely be dangerous to everyone in his path.

What I do not understand is Patrick and even some of the other men in this book kept referring to someone findin them if Patrick could not control his powers. I know that there is someone or something out there that could hurt or destroy or exploit each of these men for the powers that they have and that is why there is a protection spell over the club. But who is it that all these men are concerned over? What is the dangers to each of them?

Not knowing what and who the dangers are to these men left me feeling like I was missing a huge part of this book. I kept waiting for whatever the danger is to make itself known but that did not happen. Well with the exception of the danger Patrick posed if he could not learn to control his powers.

So with all that said, yes I did enjoy the beginnings of the relationship of Patrick and Remy. I enjoyed reading about how their relationship expanded and the closer they became the more time they spent together and the more they learned about each other but still I just felt this book was incomplete in some way.

I cannot say one way or the other on whether I will read the next book in the serie because at this point I am not sure myself. But I will say that this is not a horrible read by far but in being honest it was not my favorite either by B.A. Tortuga either.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
