In the 23rd Century in the galaxy of Sigma Kappa, Kim Fortune was the first surviving experimental enhanced human—a regenerate. Aged fifteen, he escaped the lab and years later, his failings as a regenerate and the suspicion of regular humans, leave him lonely and lacking in self-worth. Stranded on an abandoned planet, the arrival of a stricken ship and its crew give him hope that he may finally find what he always longed for—love.

Christian Novak is a successful regenerate with all the intended attributes—including lack of human emotion. Despite their immediate attraction to each other, Kim’s failing confidence, and Christian’s inability to empathize are a recipe for disaster. But war, imprisonment, and danger throw them together, and after each saves the other’s life, their feelings begin to change.

Can a seemingly unsuitable pair ever find love, or is a future together destined to fail?

Wow, what some people have to go through in order to be able to find the first sort of happiness in this book was beyond words.

Kim is a first born regenerate. He is the only one who lives and after the fact he was the only one who survived after the crew he was on a ship with all slowly started to die after they crash landed on some planet with some killer cats.

Kim never expected six months after the crash to have another ship crash and for the crew to survive. Even more unexpected was the feelings that was envoked in him the moment he laid eyes on the man that was in custody of the crew that crashed.

Chris is a regenerate soldier that escaped the prison he was in only to be caught and captured and the crash land on the horrible planet they landed on. The only plus was the man There by the name of Kim. There was definitely some sexual tension between the two men but the circumstances sourounding them did not allow time to explore it.

These two men went through hell to see if things could go anywhere between them. They crashed landed on the planet that Chris had escaped prison from only to be imprisoned there again. Then once there Kim insured Manuel labor, got into a fight protecting one of the other crew members, sent to the cells for fighters to beg and pled to have the woman of their crew to be let go in return for him helping to create much needed medicines.

It did not seem these two men was ever going to end up together but once they did, it once again got off to a rough start for them again.

Things did not seem like they would ever work for these two. The question was would Chris end up sticking around long enough for them to see how things could turn out between them or not?

This was a hugely adventurous read. At every turn something bigger was happening then the last and things just did not seem like they was going to line up and work out for these two men. I really enjoyed this read. I loved hat things was not perfect between them and hat they had to fight for what they both wanted. It made this science fiction story seem more of a reality. Very good read!!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
