The werewolf said, “Race you to the road.” It was the last thing Tovin heard before his life became uncomfortably complex.

Before that night in the forest, Tovin was the type of guy to play it safe. Happy wearing the same shoes, buying the same deodorant, and eating the same meals day after day, he thought his simple existence was pretty great. At least until his boyfriend dumps him for being boring. Heartbroken but on a mission of vengeance, Tovin decides to start a new life filled with excitement, danger, and maybe a meal from a questionable food truck.

A date with Garvey would start it all. Handsome, sophisticated, the man is everything Tovin thinks he needs. It’s a pity he turns out to be a werewolf on a mission to save his pack from destruction.

Now Tovin is caught up in Garvey’s world.

Abducted and forced to be the bloodservant of a powerful Alpha, he lands right in the middle of a brewing conflict that threatens to destroy humanity.

I have to honestly say that this book left me saying “what the hell?” when I was done reading it. Well that is not exactly true, it was not just the end of the book, it was pretty much the whole book.

There had to be some storyline that I am just missing somewhere. I though that the story would turn out to be about Tovin and Garvey and then I thought it may be about Tovin and Lavrio but if I am being honest I DO NOT HAVE A CLUE WHO or WHAT THIS BOOK IS ABOUT.

This was an extremely confusing read from the beginning all the way to the end. If I was guessing then I think that TOVIn is to or did die at the end or that it was a prediction that he was fixing to die because of the “door” but I can honestly say I am not sure about that either.

There just felt like there was no rhyme or reason for the story. Yes it told how each of the different groups of werewolves worked in their packs but that in itself left me confused. This was just a read that I can best describe as this right here….. the time I took to read this book is time I will never be able to get back. I feel as if I wasted my time reading this book to get to the end and have that “what the hell just happened” feeling.

To say this was not a favorite book of mine is really being nice about it. I am not saying that someone else will not read this book and get exactly where the author was coming from and enjoy the read because I am sure that there is someone who will get it and enjoy it but my personal opinion of this book is I felt like it was a hot mess. I hate saying something like that because I know the author of this book put their heart into writing it and it bothers me to leave a negative review for anyone but at the same time I cannot be dishonest about the way I feel either because that would not be doing justice to myself and what I believe in. I wish I could have like me this book cause gen I would not feel bad for such a negative review.

This book completely confused me. I thought if I kept reading it then I would start to get some u derstanding of where it was going but In my opinion that never happened. Was not my favorite to say the least.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
