Angus Donohue doesn’t want to be a warlock. He believes draining demons for magic is evil, but it’s a dangerous opinion to have—his father is a powerful and well-connected warlock, and Angus is expected to follow the family tradition.

His only way out is to fail the demon summoning class. Failure means expulsion from the Warlock College. Despite Angus’s best efforts to fumble the summoning, it works. Although not the way anyone expects.

Angus’s demon, Saka, is a powerful mage with his own need for a warlock.

Saka wants to use Angus in a ritual to rebalance the magic that is being stripped from Demonside by warlocks. If Angus survives his demon’s desires and the perils of Demonside, he’ll have to face the Warlock College and their demands.

Angus must choose: obey the College and forget about Demonside or trust Saka and try to fix the damage before it’s too late. Whatever he does, he is in the middle of a war he isn’t qualified to fight.

Wow what an amazing start to what I feel is going to be an incredible series. If you like a book that has so much happening that you feel like there is never a dull moment then this is the book for you.

First and foremost if you not like a book that leaves you with a cliffhanger then this not a book you will want to read until more of the series is out.

I truly believe that this book is really just a book that is to give you background information. There is two different world involved in this book. There is Earth and then there is Arlyxia. Both worlds in my opinion rely on one another in some form or fashion. With there being such an imbalance in magic both worlds and everyone in are suffered G. Earth continues to cold and Arlyxia continues to get hot.

When a nineteen year old Angus summons his first demon he gets Saka. Saka decides that the best thing to do is take Angus with him Alryxia and tries to restore some of the magic balance that has both worlds going out of wack. This involves Saka and Angus having some very sexy times and in doing so they restore some of the balance.

Both men start to have feelings for the other both neither is willing to admit how they feel for the other. As I said I believe this book is more of a precursor as to what will happen in the next books because there is no definite relationship between these two and there are also some sparks between Angus and another man.

I think this book was more towards leaving the reader with insight as to what might be happening in future books and also leaving the reader wanting more as soon as they can get it. I know this book left me wishing the next book was out already and anxiously awaiting it to come out so I can read about what is going to happen next. This is definitely going to be a series on my to read list as soon as it comes out. This is a great book and I definitely recommend it.

Galley copy of Warlock in Training provided by DSP Publications in exchange of an honest review.

This was the start I predict will be an amazing series. I felt this was more of laying the ground of the storyline for the reader for upcoming books but nonetheless I found this to be an amazing read. I look forward to the next book.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
