A second chance born of love.

Pat Corrigan and Edgerton “Edge” Winters were ready to start a family–or so Pat thought. At the last minute, Edge got cold feet and fled. Pat didn’t bother telling him the conception had already gone through and little Emma was on her way. He didn’t want a relationship based on obligation. He’d rather raise his daughter on his own.

Nine years later, Emma and her Poppy are doing fine. Edge isn’t. He realizes what he threw away by leaving, and he’s back to turn his life around and reclaim his family. It’ll take a lot to prove to Pat that he’s a new man, and even if Edge succeeds, the secret Pat has hidden for years might shatter their dreams all over again.

This has to be one of my favorite books of Andrew Grey’s to date. There was so much emotion in this book that it was truly not hard to feel it. Andrew Grey did an extremely exemplary job on this amazing book.

There was not an overload of sexual scenes in this book. As a matter of fact there was not a lot of sexy scenes at all, only just a few but regardless this book was extremely powerful in a way that I cannot remember a read in a while being.

Edge and Pat have a past with one another that was perfect while it lasted and then not so much when Edge decided to walk away from the plans that him and Pat started to peruse. It took a lot for Pat to try and get over the feeling of being abandoned by the man who had captured his heart and made him believe hat his dreams of having a family was going to come true but Pat was able to pick his broken heart up off of the floor and continue on without Edge. The end result was a beautiful little girl named Emma that became the single most important person in Pat’s life.

Everything Pat did from the point that Emma was born was to create as much of a wonderful life for her as he could. Pat even put his personal life on hold to concentrate on Emma.

Now eight years after she was born Edge is back and wants what he could not give in the past. He wants a family with Pat. Pat is not willing at first to even consider this. His pain is still very much present and each time he sees Edge, the anger and hurt he felt all those years ago comes back into play full force.

Edge is not about to give up on the man that he so stupidly walked away from and is willing to do whatever it takes to be a part of Pat and Emma’s life. Even if it means getting on his hands and knees and begging Pat for second chance at everything he foolishly walked away from.

After some convincing and a lot of contemplating and thinking over every aspect Pat gives in and does his best to let go of all the bottled up emotions and give Edge another chance. The thing is Pat has his own secret and now that he has realized that he is still in love with Edge, he knows the secret can destroy not only Pat and Edge but Emma as well.

Can both men get over their past and the secrets between them?

This book was such an emotional roller coaster. I truly felt bad for all of the characters because their was so much pain that I did not think they would be able to paddle their way through it to come out o. The other side still entact. Andrew Grey did such an amazing job of expressing exactly what all of the characters was feeling and made the feelings come off of the pages just like it was happening in my life, right in front of me. That is the work of a true author to be able to insight those types of emotions in a reader.

This is definitely a book that I HIGHLY recommend to others. It is an extremely powerful readbthat will leave you feeling the love and pain that these characters felt. Again an amazing read.

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
