Bryan Dane’s been living the dream—photography student by day, up-and-coming rocker by night. His summer goals are to earn his last few credits, graduate from NYU, spend as much time in the recording studio as possible, and survive the next few months without sex so he can complete his yearlong goal of self-imposed celibacy. Everything is on track, until he meets Oliver Newcastle.

For years Oliver planned a marriage of convenience with his high school BFF, but now that she’s fallen in love for real, with someone else, it’s no longer convenient. So Oliver came out to his family, quit his job, and left small-town New England for NYC, an intensive summer study program, and a chance to find his own happiness.

From the moment they meet the sexual tension between Bryan and Oliver sizzles. But Bryan wants no part of a relationship, and Oliver wants to sew his wild oats—he just isn’t sure how. Oliver seeks Bryan’s help navigating the NYC gay scene, which throws them together in increasingly more sexual situations until they can no longer deny they’re hot for each other. Bryan is desperate to keep things simple, but fate might have other plans.

What happens when a man that believes in nothing more then one. Ugly stands and a man that really wants a relationship with another man for the first time in his life meet and they are attracted to one another? They become friends first, mentor second, lovers third, broken up fourth, and MAYBE a second chance fifth.

That is the exact steps that Bryan and Oliver took in their relationship. When I started reading this book I can honest say that I fell in love with both Oliver and Bryan.

Bryan is the type of guy who has been burned badly before and not willing to take that chance of it happening again. He closes his self off by keeping his secrets close to his chest and not
Letting anyone in including his best friend.

When Bryan meets Oliver things change rather quickly between them. They became fast friends and Bryan decided to take it upon himself to help Oliver out with his coming out persay.

Oliver has always been in the closet but once he got to New York he decided it was time for him to live his life the way he wants to instead of the way others did. Oliver was definitely nervous when it came to dating and possibly sex since he had little experience with it when it came to men. So when Bryan offered to mentor him and give him tips and help him out with his nervousness he took him up on it quickly with no second guessing.

Neither man realizes that the other is starting to feel more then friendship for the other until Oliver goes on a date with someone else and Bryan is so jealous he can not see straight. This is the first major turning point for these two men but not the last.

As the story goes on these two men end up in a situation where both set themselves up for heartbreak s. The quest is can you get over words spoken in anger? Can you forgive the one person that should have had your back and best interest at heart? Is there a possibility for a second chance at happiness?

This book was such a hot read. The chemistry between these two was smoldering and about to burst my kindle into flames at any given moment. Though they had their differences these two could not have been more perfect for the other. They both understood the other like no one else could and they made the other a much better person. I really liked this story and look forward to more stories by Karen in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
