Although repulsed by his client, an overbearing, homophobic California wine mogul, confidential investigator B. J. Vinson agrees to search for Anthony Alfano’s missing son, Lando, and his traveling companion—strictly for the benefit of the young men. As BJ chases an orange Porsche Boxster all over New Mexico, he soon becomes aware he is not the only one looking for the distinctive car. Every time BJ finds a clue, someone has been there before him. He arrives in Taos just in time to see the car plunge into the 650-foot-deep Rio Grande Gorge. Has he failed in his mission?

Lando’s brother, Aggie, arrives to help with BJ’s investigation, but BJ isn’t sure he trusts Aggie’s motives. He seems to hold power in his father’s business and has a personal stake in his brother’s fate that goes beyond familial bonds. Together they follow the clues scattered across the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness area and learn the bloodshed didn’t end with the car crash. As they get closer to solving the mystery, BJ must decide whether finding Lando will rescue the young man or place him directly in the path of those who want to harm him.

I have to be completely honest in saying that I truly enjoy this series. BJ may only be a private investigator but he is so much more than that. He is a man who does not give up and will follow through until h knows the truth of whatever it is that he is investigating. BJ is not the type of man that will take the easy answer just to close a case. He is the type of man that wants the truth first and foremost whether he may lose a client and payout because of the truth in the end. That is the type of man who has morals and seeks justice above and beyond his own gin or wealth.

This case that BJ is currently working on seems to be a no brainer. Find a missing son and his boyfriend of a wealthy business man and bring him back home safely. But once BJ starts to investigate he soon realizes that things may not be that simple after all. It seems for the most part that Lando and Dana have just vanished into thin air. The investigation starts to heat up when BJ starts to back track Lando’s movements. But the more he learns about the path Lando and Dana took the more questions arise.

As the investigation into Lando’s disappearance heats up the realization comes to light that something terrible is going on and Lando and Dana are in danger. BJ does everything he can to try and retrace their steps as quickly as possible hopefully save both of the young men before anything bad happens to them. As dead bodies start to surface BJ starts to slowly uncover the truth as too what is happening and what may be going to happen BJ realizes that he is running out of time. He also realizes that the deaper he digs for the truth the more dangerous of a situation has become not only for his missing people but also for himself.

Can BJ unravel what is truly going on before it is too late and someone else dies? Maybe even BJ himself?

Don Travis is truly a gifted author. Don is able to write a book that has much intrigue and mystery to it that it makes it impossible for a reader to put a book down written by Don once they start reading it. That is truly a gift. This book was an incredible read. I could not put this book down once I started it and now I cannot wait till the next book in this series comes out because I am sure it will be just an amazing of a read as the last two books in this series.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
