Eli is an ancient vampire with an ego the size of a planet and a sex drive to match, but his tumultuous past left him broken, so he hides from humanity and cowers from love, left to endure the crushing guilt that haunts his every waking moment. Even his best friend, Malachi, a ghost who is hopelessly in love with Eli, remains unaware of all that transpired in London. Malachi can never know the truth.

When the Angel Daniyyel pays an unwelcome visit, Eli must face his secrets, secrets that he has tried so long to hide. To make matters worse, a chance encounter with the most beautiful man he has ever seen shatters his beloved isolation, pushing him into the world of the living once more. Something about this strange man seems so familiar, but Eli can’t even remember who he was before he became a vampire, never mind explain the unwanted emotions the enigmatic stranger ignites in his dead heart. So Eli has a choice – return to the world that ruined him, or continue his self-imposed exile with no hope of salvation.

Wow, what a gripping, dark read. This book basically latches on to the reader and will not let them go. It ends in a cliffhanger that leaves the reader on the edge of their seats waiting impatiently and immediately wanting the next books in the series to see what is going to happen and who is going to turn out to be good and who is going to turn out to be bad.

This is a book I would definitely describe as being a good versus evil. Heaven versus Hell. Want versus need. And love versus hate. There is no better way to describe this book than that.

It is a paranormal read with angels and demons, vampires, god and devil, and definitely good and bad. This is one of those books that while you are reading it you cannot help to imagine the scenes as they play out while you are reading them.

In the end each and every character in this book has a very important role and each and every character has the potential to either turn to the good side or turn to the bad side and at this point no one, except maybe the author, knows what is going to happen and who is going to go which way.

I find myself sitting here wishing I had the next book right now in this series because I would sit down and read it immediately. This will definitely be a series that I will be following and waiting impatiently for the next book to come out because I am hooked.

I am definitely rooting for Ethan, Malachi, and Eli. This book is primarily based around them but I can honestly say that I hope that Ethan and Eli end up together because I believe the two together as a couple will turn out to be an important part of the whole good versus evil but I don’t know that for certain. Just a vibe I got.

Can’t wait for book two. I will be impatiently awaiting it.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
