Sometimes it’s the cop who needs to hit the floor… As a homicide cop, every blood-soaked crime scene settled in my bones and snaked around my spine. There was only one way to exorcise the images from my soul …
Inside the club, I stopped to scan the room. He was here, Camden Snow. A Norse sex god in the guise of unpretentious youth. Only his ice-blue eyes gave evidence of the Dom who took whomever he wished, whatever way he wanted, with a look and a nod. Merciless.

Cam found me watching him and fixed me with his arctic gaze. This time, I didn’t walk away. He cocked an eyebrow. Well?

The last thing I needed was mercy.

I dropped to my knees.

A bit darker than my usual, certainly more intense. This isn’t a romance, but it is a story about caring and trust. – addi-

Wow, just wow. First I guess that I should say that if you are a reader that is looking for a happily ever after, well this book is not the one for you because I honestly could say I do not know whether it was a happily ever after or not. Or at least not in the normal way.

Man if I had to describe Hunter I would say that he is kind of a prick. Readin this book I thought that in the end he would have that moment he found the person he was meant to be with. That he would find the person that would know how to help him to deal with all the ugly, horrible stuff he says with being a detective. That he would realize what it is that he needs in his life but if I am being honest I think even after what he experiences with Cam, he is still denial.

Cam really seems like a decent guy who knew from the moment he laid eyes on Hunter what he needed. But Cam is smart because he did not push Hunter in any way. All he did was wait for Hunter to come to terms with the fact that he needed Cam. So Cam waited for Hunter to submit to him on his own and when he needed it the most. Cam wondered if that time would ever come and to his surprise it did and he could not be more ecstatic about it.

This is a book about needing to let go of all the ugliness that one is carrying on their shoulders in order to be able to find the peace and quite within themselves. It is about putting knowing when to put yourself in the hands of someone you trust to break you down and put you back together again. This is definitely a hard core BDSM read but it definitely has a storyline behind it.

This was a really good read. It was hot and steamy. But I will be honest and say that Hunter needs to open his eyes and realize what is in front of him before it is too late. I do not think that there is plans for another book about these two men but in a way I kind of hope there is and that Cam will get his happy ever after.

I really enjoyed this short story and look forward o more stories in the future by Adria August.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
