Ian Pierce is the chef and part owner of the hottest restaurant in Cincinnati, his chosen family is full of happy relationships, and the scruffy, snarky cop who has been haunting his dreams is one step closer to being in his bed. But everything comes crashing down when the past he narrowly escaped nine years ago comes to a deadly head.

Hollis Banner was enamored of Ian at first sight. He’s kept his distance, knowing the gorgeous, self-confident man is out of his league. Yet there’s no standing aside when Boris Jagger escapes a raid. Jagger’s world has been nearly destroyed and this time, the crime boss is coming after Ian and his friends personally.

Hollis will do whatever it takes to keep Ian safe as they escape to a safe house with a couple of Ian’s overprotective friends. And Ian finds himself in a race to unlock painful memories—memories containing information that could take down the very last of Jagger’s illegal operations forever.

Trigger warning: Flashbacks to abuse could be possible triggers for some.

These eight men in this series has seriously been through hell and back on more than one occasion and this book is no less dangerous for them. They have lost loved ones, found a new leaf on life and found love again or for the first time, but through it all they have been family. And family socks together.

It may have only started out with Lucas, Snow, Rowe, and Ian but their family grew when each of them found the man that they was meant to spend their lives with. Lucas found Andrei, Snow found Jude, Rowe had a wife hat died Melissa but he found love again when him and Noah got together, and last to find love but no less important was Ian. Ian and Hollis now has their story and this is their book about how they came together finally after all this time of wanting each other.

Though they have all found love and are looking forward to their futures together they are all still looking over their shoulders for the danger that they all know is lurking around the corner waiting for the right time to make itself known to them again.

Ian is about to get a front door view of the danger up close and personal in this book along with a few of his friends/family.

It seems no matter what these men do they cannot escape the past and the pain and danger that Jagger has always possessed when it comes to these men. Jagger has a major grudge against all of these men and Hollis has now placed himself in the line of fire by going undercover to bring this dangerous man down only to expose himself to him and not catch him.

Now all eight of these men have to come together to do what is necessary to save their family from being destroyed. Ian and Hollis have the opportunity to be honest about their feelings for the other and if they don’t do it soon, it may be too late if Jagger gets his way.

This whole series has been an intriguing series. It is an exciting read with danger around every corner. You never know when the danger is going to pop up or who is going to be in the line of fire. The one thing that has been clear from the beginning of this series is these men protect what is theirs even if it could eventually cost them their lives in the end. I truly hope that even though each of the four main characters have found their lovers that there will be other books in this series. I would love to see Hollis find out what happened to his friend that went missing and maybe some of the other bodyguards in their clan find their true love also.

Amazing series with never a dull moment.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
